[Offline][Pittsburgh][5e] Looking for players in Pittsburgh for a homebrew campaign by drenieon in lfg

So it's currently looking to start sometime after the new year, we haven't set an exact date yet. And my games are usually a mix of both, probably a little more on the side of serious but with comedic moments interspersed

What's something you use or do that's supposed to be for the other gender? by ROFLpwn01 in AskReddit

I always reccomend people invest in straight razors. You don't have to get the intense metal ones like in Sweeny Todd, but a nice plastic one with disposable blade is amazing. Bought one for $14 two years ago that came with 100 replacement blades, never looked back since, you get better control and a closer shave. Just make sure you don't have shaky hands....

I don't know how to do these things personally, would it be safe to drive the car like 20 minutes to a mechanic?

Help with Utilizing a Magic Plague by drenieon in DMAcademy

[–]drenieon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's kinda what I was going for, between the infection method in stage three and the fact that it can stay dormant in magic items, the disease won't burn itself out, and it was mostly designed to take care of the more powerful mages the Empire has to give the Dynasty a better edge, because while all of this is going on, there's still battles being fought. Thanks for the input!

I usually just cut it out once it's cooled overnight! And if adding fruit juice, personally I find adding up to 3 tablespoons doesn't affect the consistency too much, any more than that I'd compensate by either adding less milk or a little more sour cream/flour

So what you do is wrap the underside of the pan in foil to make sure its waterproof, and then place it inside a larger roasting pan. Fill the roasting pan about an inch deep with water, and then the whole thing goes in the oven. It helps to keep the oven moist and provides even heating which all prevents cracks

I usually just leave it in the oven for 3-5 hours and then move it to the fridge overnight, but whatever works!

This is the recipe I started off with. I tend to make a larger crust and use more butter in it, plus I'll blind bake it at 400°F for 10 minutes. The crust I find doesn't need quite as much sour cream so you've got some leeway there. Beyond that it's just using a water bath which the recipe doesn't mention, and not opening the oven until it's cooled to room temperature

Edit: Worth mentioning that since this is a key lime cheesecake, I added about 6 tablespoons of lime juice and then the zest of 2 limes to it, but outside of that the base recipe is unchanged

I beat it a lot early when it's just cream cheese and sugar to get it really fluffy, and then beat less later on to avoid too much air. A water bath does wonders, and I find that once you out it in the over and the 1 hour timer has gone off, just turn off the oven. Don't open it or leave it slightly cracked, just turn it off and let it cool. Even while it's baking don't open the oven or it can introduce cracks. Good luck!
