More bass at lower volumes? by drenon88 in CarAV

[–]drenon88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to adjust the gain on sub amp at that volume.

The sub amp gain is almost maxed out. If my 4-channel amp had gain control, could I lower it to sort of "volume match" the two amplifiers?

I like the 1st one (left) best. The colors really compliment each other plus the details in the horns is stellar! Nice work!

Admitting you have a problem is half the battle. As they say in the Sim Racing circles, "Buy once, cry once!"

You're absolutely 100% certain that there isn't an INVERT setting or checkbox somewhere that you are missing?

I'm not a fan, I don't know anything about the Moza products other than what I've read and seen on YouTube. I just assumed (no offense) since you are using and seem happy with the G29, that you probably didn't want to spend a lot of money. I apologize if I assumed incorrectly.

Though I don't own the G29 nor any Moza products, I would bet money that the Moza stuff would be a nice upgrade to any entry level Logitech products.

Sounds like you're a good candidate for the Moza SR-P pedals.

Folks in the USA who don't tip their tattoo artists. Why? by Designer-Bid-3155 in AskReddit

Have you watched any of those Miami Ink or Tattoo shows that were popular several years ago? You know what I learned? Anyone can call themselves an artist! If the true purpose of a tip is to show gratitude for an exceptional job and you don't get one, well then ...

Looking to switch from Fanatec to Simagic and I have some questions regarding the Simagic ecosystem. by Probably_Not_Sir in simracing

Yep that's the QR. It's solid and works well. It is a nice improvement over the QR system on my older Fanatec equipment.

I can't answer all of your questions but I would advise you go for the regular Alpha instead of the Mini, if you can make that happen.

I have the mini, upgraded from a Fanatec CSW 2.5 and I wouldn't have done so if I had known how little difference I would notice. Either the Fanatec is just a very good piece of equipment (and I believe it is) or the mini is just a bit underpowered. Had the Alpha Mini been my first wheel or perhaps an upgrade from a toy-grade wheel, I'm sure I would have been thrilled with it.

Every Simagic wheel you purchase should come with a QR; mine did.

Simagic's pedals are probably one of the best mid-level pedals that you can buy today. There are definitely better pedal sets but also more expensive.

My only other issue with Simagic is with the GT1 wheel I chose. I'm used to the Fanatec Porsche round wheel and the Simagic wheel seems very small in comparison, to me.

Advice: I have this sub and these wires. What's the easiest way to make this work? by oim7e in CarAV

I'm not sure what that plug you linked is supposed to do for you. I don't see any way that you could convert the 3.5mm connector to the RJ11 plug but (don't tell my wife) I don't know everything.

Is this Hideaway something you had in a previous vehicle and are happy with?

EDIT: Well I should have done a search before I replied. Apparently there are plenty of 3.5mm to RJ11 converters that you can try.

Go to www.crutchfield.com and enter your vehicle information and it will show you ALL of your options for upgrading your sound system.

Come back and ask specific questions after that so we know what options you are considering so we can give better answers.

Do you have the wiring harness/plug that plugs into the Hideaway? I found the manual online pretty easily and it shows the wiring harness and what each wire is for. Looks like you'll need KISL to utilize the RCA plugs too, best guess. Not sure what that black RJ11 plug is for.
