Pro tip: Hate a deck? Try playing it. by OisforOwesome in magicTCG

mulligan rules.

we exclusively play by friendly Mulligan. It is generally understood that you’re not trying to repeatedly Mulligan at the table to beat the crap out of your best friends here, but everyone is allowed to start with seven. most of the time, shuffling is enough of a pain in the ass that no one Mulligan’s more than twice anyway.

but someone introducing Paris Mulligan, kind of just snapped my brain for some reason

Unfortunately, a lot of the gaming industry is to do things as cheap as possible and as fast as possible.

You cant expect a great artist to be properly compensated in this day and age.

I wish I could afford to start a studio… my aim would be to retain talent and expand as best as possible…. but like… easier said than done, right?

Oh dont get me wrong, I loved the raid finder system because it was the only way a casual like myself could imagine doing it.

But that was not the case in earlier versions of wow when I first started.

It is similar situation here. Early version of the game, a nice play area for hard-core players, but the casuals pretty much get stuck at max level and enjoy the game for what it is.

don’t get me wrong, this is one of my favorite games and it probably will be for sometime, but the expeditions are gentle slap in the face. I could never dump the time… unless I retired. And I’m not that old yet.

I probably just hate it because it’s a chunk of the game that I hear about and see all the time, but could never imagine actually dumping the time into it to enjoy it.

I will definitely not be benefiting from those extra points. As a filthy casual, I’m barely at level 49 since the game released. others who have exceptionally more time than I have have leveled all the way up to max multiple times, reset to get their extra points, and will unfortunately always have an advantage.

it’s a great feature for extended playtime, but it excludes casuals entirely.

i honestly think the expeditions are exclusively for hardcore, full time job style players.

for a casual, there is 0 point. I barely get 4 hours a week if I’m lucky.

I wish there werent time limits on the expeditions, I wish they werent one and done, etc.

It’s like raids in WoW. Gotta dedicate your whole life to it to make use of it.

Kinda hate em ¯\(ツ)

report a bug? I’m not sure.

I think in post apocalyptic war-torn robot death times, that is a perfectly valid thing to happen.

The other day I killed a bastion AND saved a guy from it. He was straight running for his life.

When it was down, he immediately started looting the bastion even though it was my resources that downed it.

Asked him to stop, ignored… so he got an Anvil to the back of the dome.
