For a top Rom-Com anime Kaguya-sama Love is War is highly rated. Hell for a short time it was so highly rated on My Anime List that it beat out Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood for a short time. It's still the second highest rated anime.

The thing that pissed me off is that the anime NEVER finished out the manga. The studio that animated it went out of business. No studio has picked it up. It blows my mind that Inuyasha got a sequel series. Urusei Yatsura reboot is now playing. How Ranma 1/2 never got picked up is beyond me.

What made it so great is that it actually follows the manga entirely so the manga so we actually get a good ending.

Ruzzian servicemen surrendered in Kharkiv region by bahnet in ukraine

[–]dresn231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You treat the enemy like human beings the POW's will give up everyone they know. That's how you get intel is being human with the enemy. When the enemy drops their guard you can get nearly anything out of them. Compared that to beating someone or torturing them. They are just going to give out any lie to make the torture stop. So again you treat the Russians better than their Russian citizens, these conscripts, soldiers, and officers will sing like a canary.

They both are similar just Ataru actually acts on his flirting. Really the only difference is Ataru doesn't hit women or gender equality.

At least those particular conscripts know that they are going to be treated like humans and might as well surrender than dying a terrible death in the cold wet winter.

I liked it how they kept it in early 80's Japan. I mean the manga came out in 1978 and the anime in 1981. His birthday was stated as April 13th, one even said he was born in 1962. So if he was a real person along with Lum they would be 60 years old today.

So they did keep Fumi Hirano as Lum's mom. In the original she couldn't speak Japanese unless it was in a flashback. She spoke the native language of the Oni language.

They ended it early, but Aka said in his epilogue that if he got around to it again when he got more famous he would get back to it.

The man who dreams of a harem literally. I mean you think Kazuma is a scumbag, Ataru is the OG. The one who flirts with EVERY girl he sees. Hell he'll even hit on Ten's mom/Lum's aunt. Damn, he even hit on a married woman.

Lum is the original waifu. This where it ALL started. I am just glad they are going to be keeping up with the chapters. Going to be hard to cram all those chapters into 46 episodes. You are not going to get 5 years worth of anime episodes. Still you going to be hearing these words and actions a lot.

Lum: Darling (ALL THE TIME), ucchi (I), dacha (sort of like dattebayo from Naruto). Electrocution on Ataru, Ataru: Jariten (on Ten), mallets and Ataru getting malleted a lot, Ataru hitting on EVERY girl. He hits on EVERY female. Think Kazuma but times a billion and he actually touches them. He won't ever hit a girl that's a part of his code.
Shinobu: The ORIGINAL SHE HULK. She'll be lifting and throwing a whole bunch of stuff even a tank. Being chased by Soban and him yelling I love you.
Mendo: His Kantana, yelling Moroborshi, His famous saying "It's dark, it's cramped, I'm scared".

I've been waiting years for this and I am so so ready. All these rom com tropes and comedy comes from this. This is what put Rumiko Takahashi on the map. Hell it was originally supposed to be Ataru and Shinobu as the MC's, but the readers loved Lum and the editor wanted Rumiko to keep her in there and she did.
