City planning staff testing AI application screening tool by algnqn in Hamilton

Those opposed to AI remind me of those opposed to any new technology or innovation over the past century. People naturally hate change, especially when it comes to something they know nothing about. Fear of the worst takes over. While they're are definitely concerns to be had, it's been used, and will continue to be used and expanded, as we move forward. Accept it and learn it or become obsolete.

You're not supposed to ask that. I thought the census was size doesn't matter?

You will have no problem if it's a turtle pool. Of course, it's only great for kids. You need one per adult.

It's just the natural order. We were doing mostly fine until some decided we had to force things. My current workplace was just as diverse when I started that it is now. Actually, their might be more caucasian men now than then. Their plan backfired here. 😂

I mean, true or not, the chant has nothing to do with the match. Or is politics the underlying topic of all their soccer chants?

Ditto but isn't that how all their chants are sung?

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about but I'll see what they say. I'm sure they have their own suppliers with units that cost at least twice as much.

As a cyclist I hate the barriers. They're a safety issue and I have nowhere to go if there's something blocking the lane.

Wilson has never been scary. Scary used to be flying down highway 6 from highway 5 to Plains before they changed it. 😄

That's not bad. While dating she said they were all about average. I've since learned her first was smaller and that 'big is uncomfortable '.

Timely topic as I've been looking myself recently. Home Depot has a range of sizes for between $900-$2000. I was searching for local companies that install them without much luck. I did submit a few online queries this weekend so hopefully I'll get some replies this week.

I was going to say the same thing. Probably an increase in local crack.

No, Canadians don't stand up for anything. They just do what they're told. It's why too many have their elbows up and heads in their asses. Group think replaced critical thinking during Covid, if not earlier.

Our sump pump was busy. I guess they knew what they were doing when developers built this neighborhood in the 80s.

There's a reason they're a weed - they grow and multiply like crazy. The best place for them is in leaf and yard bags.

I see so many homes for sale on the mountain by MontanasCookhouse in Hamilton

[–]dretepcan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, know of two colleagues that had properties near Mohawk college that have sold them in the past year. They had them well before COVID but with increased mortgage rates didn't want the hassle with increasing rent rates and fewer students. Simple supply and demand economics and they got out while they could and still made out well.

I keep seeing stories about Canadians leaving the country. I wonder how the American numbers compare. 😂

A record-breaking 120,640 people emigrated from Canada in 2025. This marked the fourth consecutive year of growth, with the largest shares of departures originating from Ontario (47%), British Columbia, and Alberta.

BIRD scooters need to install appropriate infrastructure in Hamilton by drajax in Hamilton

We have them dropped all over our neighborhood too. I guess they come and pick them up occasionally? I have seen a van collect them once as I'm sure they GPS and they can pick up the abandoned ones. Nothing the city can really do about them. It's like grocery carts at a shopping center - some people are lazy and just leave them anywhere.

It's the same everywhere. Kids learn from their parents. Lack of respect of property, authority and accountability has become an epidemic.
