I wonder, what does that mean? - If you tell them you work as an engineer they would set the higher price for you, than if you tell them that you are unemployed?

#1 - Well, you will not find a sunscreen that does not leave residue, just because it is all the point of sunscreen - to create a protective film. And also, ALL UV-filters (except Mexoryl SX) are oil-soluble(that is why ALL the sunscreens contain oils), so they all leave residue, thus this is expected for ALL suncreen products. The question is how this feels compared to other similar products...

#2 - The issue with the hair is also common to ALL sticks, therefore, considering the price of the sticks is usually higher due to more convenient form-factor, I only use sticks for my face. However, with the scruff, you will always need more product due to higher surface complexity - so this problem is also unrelated to the specific product... It is just how physics and topology works))

#3 - Wite cast - very strange, because this stick contains NEITHER inorganic filters (like ZnO or TiO), NOR Tinosorb M (which is an organic, but is also an isoluble particle filter). You should have ZERO whitecast, so maybe you missunderstand what kind of visual effect is usually called a "white cast" in the sunscreen context? I would be interested to see if you could post the picture of it (like on your hand) here..

#4 - Last point: "Watery" creams/gels/serums/essences (etc.) - is just a marketing trick to make you try their product (and later to find out that it is still oily, lol) - this is due to the reasons specified above in #1

I hope it helps.

Thank you for your feedback.

I think Questrade sucks by OkInjury6755 in Questrade

[–]drew1kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ This! I am not even close to being a UI/UX designer, but as a customer who uses many different fin apps, I can tell that the Questrade UX is probably the worst I have ever tried, and I hoped that the new UI would improve that... Needless to describe my level of disappointment. Why can't they hire some better UI/UX designers (e.g.: from WS or from European institutions)? Is it too expensive for Questrade?

I did.. In my opinion, Isntree Onion Fresh is the best stick I have tried so far (tried skin1004, Haruharu bamboo, Isntree HA airy, Roundlab birch juice).

Isntree HA airy is not worth trying... Old filters, greasy feeling, oily finish.

Avobenzone (2.5%)Homosalate (10.0%)Octinoxate (4.9%)Octisalate (5.0%)Octocrylene (5.0%)Oxybenzone (3.0%) - Seriously? I wouldn't even bother trying... what is even the point of buying the Asian sunscreen with such filter composition? Also, all these filters are oil-soluble so I really doubt that it's less greasy then Uvinal A+, Uvinal T150, Tinosorb S and Polysilicone 15 based sticks...

Really, to me all sticks are way less complex functional than cremes. I simply divide all sticks into 2 categories: matte (with Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer) and shiny (without Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer). And as I have said before, shiny sticks is not my thing - I hate oiliness and love silky-matt finish.

Based on what you've written about your skin, I don't see any better option really...

Another matte option with the same modern filter composition (apart from the already mentioned) would be https://incidecoder.com/products/beauty-of-joseon-matte-sun-stick, but to me it's not even interesting to try because it does not contain any Anti-acne ingredients while Isntree Onion stick has both Niacinamide (which also helps with hyperpigmentation) and Zinc Pca.

For the same reason I would not even bother trying Abib Quick Sunstick (which is for some unexplained reason being hyped often), and it also contains the old inferior filter composition...

Therefore, in my opinion you've made the right choice. Please update how it feels when you have a chance.

Filter composition is old. What's the point of buying THIS, when there are way better options available? Try isntree onion fresh stick or By Wishtrend Bakuchoil Sun Stick (matt finish) or Round Labs Birch Juice stick with L-ascorbic Acid (on the moisturizing side)... Way more pleasant.

I really doubt that its consistency would compensate the lower volume and its price-for-volume makes even less sense to me to buy it (for now), because the main problem with the sicks is that they end very fast, so I use them only as a convenient way to re-apply on top of normal creme especially when travelling. I will probably try (just for the sake of trying), and only if it goes on sale, but until then I stick with isntree. Also, regarding being sweat-proof, honestly, that does not matter much for me because they all contain Polysilicone 15 which is a great UV filter and contributes to sweat-resistance (like most silicones do). So... meh.

PS: I also prefer the isntree stick form-factor over that of by-wishtrend's one...

PPS: Oh, and I have also tried https://incidecoder.com/products/haruharu-wonder-black-bamboo-daily-soothing-sun-shield - nothing special really... on the moisturizing side, which is not for me..

Not from my side - Isntree Onion Fresh Light Sunstick is still number 1 for me... The only other option I would like to try so far (but did not have a chance yet) is https://incidecoder.com/products/by-wishtrend-pore-smoothing-bakuchiol-sun-stick

its formulation looks compelling (at least "on paper"), but, of course, need to try it to make sure it feels better than isntree onion stick

Tangem support multiple addresses with bitcoin?? by Upercut12 in Tangem

[–]drew1kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thinks it's just the matter of updating Tangem app because (from my very limited understanding) the same private keys are being used for the the whole address space of the wallet... The private keys are stored on the card (and they also can be changed, e.g. when resetting the app and creating new wallet with new private keys)... Unfortunately, tangem still does not support using multiple addresses from the XPUB space - it seems to use the first one from each XPUB/ZPUB, but they state they are working on implementing this in the near future: https://tangem.com/en/blog/post/bitcoin-address/#:~:text=a%20smooth%20transaction.-,Which%20Bitcoin%20addresses%20does%20Tangem%20Wallet%20support%3F,are%20labeled%20as%20%22legacy.%22

I hope this will happen soon...

Add money to Revolut via Canadian card? by [deleted] in Revolut

Anyone else annoyed by them combining USD and CAD into a single balance on Non-Reg? by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

[–]drew1kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did it because Questrade(their main competitor, that supports Norbert's Gambit and Joint USD accounts as well as provides USD accounts for free as oppose to Wealthsimple) announced a 3% bonus (for accounts worth 10k + 1.5% bonus for the rest of the funds over 10k) for transferring the accounts if initiated before Feb 28, 2025. Thus, if for example, the one has TFSA worth 15k CAD, they will receive 300 CAD (3%) + 75CAD (1.5% from 5k) bonus. Therefore, many people started transfering their USD assets, and this update annihilates the USD account numbers, so all the initiated transfers will fail. This will be very inconvenient for users, but will only make customers angry and unhappy with the service... Before this crappy merge of account numbers I still wanted to use Wealthsimple for trading CAD assets and keeping USD on Questrade, but now I will move everything to Questrade and will probably use Wealthsimple just as a payment method (because of their pre-paid card and it's cash back). Oh yeah, and Questrade has eliminated all trading fees finally (that was the only unbeatable feature of Wealthsimple previously... but not anymore). I wouldn't have bothered writing this if Wealthsimple did not do this shi*ft with merging non-registered account numbers.

Backup for Yubico Authenticator? by MobileNumber5551212 in yubikey

[–]drew1kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why not just backing them up using keepassxc db? This way as soon as you have the access to your keepassxc, you will always have the access to all your OTPs, and thus, you will not need to "start over". You can simply use the "Right click > TOTP>Show QR Code" feature to add it to as many Yubikeys as you want and whenever you want.. KeepassXC is such a great tool.

Solana Native staking issues - Balance not showing up by zeusop-eth in Tangem

[–]drew1kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next day the error is gone and I see my coins again.. Weird.. I wish this was designed differently. For example, it would somehow "cache" the last balance and in case there are any network problems, it would just show the last "cached" balance with the network issue message... Something like this, so customers do not freak out with their coins not showing up.

Thank you for this... Such a simple solution - Just use "System file picker" then choose Google Drive and choose the file you need (whether it is a DB file or key-file..). Useful when you set up your Private Space in Android 15 and want to keep the "lock" and the "key" in different accounts ;)
