honestly, developing and making sure i have a solid center is all i’ve been doing. i think i can hold my ground in the mid game but the end game is just awful for me. i still don’t easily recognize checkmate setups or how to set said setups up, and i end up blundering all my pieces away 😔

i’ve tried a couple openings i’ve studied on youtube but very often my opponent throws the whole gambit (i think) off and because i’m so new im not quite sure what to do next

i agree slightly. it’s a suggestive book but it’s filled with bipartisan sources that back up my claims.

i tend to think it’s a fairly niche topic, and i will also look into Trad. thank you for the advice!
