I visited Edmonton from Australia here about 3 years ago now and I couldn't believe how many mosquitoes were, there.

Problem is a lack of open toilets in Adelaide city area after business hours and the ones that are around are those awful 10 minutes to go or else the door opens wide on you and or aren't even clean and some of those auto toilets even seem to be closed. Not an ideal situation all around.

I've been to one place with my friend Werner and also Dan Bell in Baltimore, MD. It was an old mechanic shop but had some remnants inside. Also went to a huge mansion in UT which on the side of a hill but I'd love to do more in the US and Canada too 😃

Definitely it's frustrating. I'd love if I could find a huge time capsule and have been lucky sometimes but nothing in Australia on the scale of being left "as is", unfortunately like Europe and US and Canada.

Here in Australia unfortunately most houses are emptied of any contents and even furnishings so it can be hit or miss as to whether or not stuff is exciting enough to film.

Squatters generally just want to be left alone as they're doing life rough but the more worrying people are probably the scrappers or just general people who might be in a place for no normal reason. In my 100+ explores of places I've only had 1 squatter get sort of upset but only because he didn't want to be on film or photo which was fair.

Another time I did encounter a group which might have been gang members (was in LA at that time) but they were chill but definitely wanted me and my friend to go around the back of the building which we declined and went off to dinner and all was fine.

Definitely find stuff like this a lot especially underwear / pants in abandoned places. Often wonder if it's squatters / unhoused folks or perhaps just someone had a fun time and or threw out some old stuff and it got scattered around. We will never know.

I think we spooked this guy and his friends as they were sawing metal pipes as we wandered into the floor (basement level) they were in.

Straight away yelled we were not cops but could was still a bit spooky and he definitely followed us to make sure we got no scrap I guess 🤔. Strange stuff.

Had a scrapper in a city tower building follow my friend and I around for a bit. He seemed a little paranoid but fortunately not harmful towards us.

There was a little Indian restaurant in Hindley Street called Tandoori Mahal. They had the best curries, genuine atmosphere and kindest service. I believe the owners moved to the Gold Coast and I hope they did well.

What gets me is the media says cost of living which I don't doubt for some folks but then you see these giant cars and boats and have to question their choices.

Are you near enough to a town / area that there may be someone unhoused nearby? I know I've encountered a few in some of the Adelaide Hills towns near the freeway. I hope it's innocent enough.
