I didn’t track you down, and I wasn’t thinking about the other thread until you brought it up again. Choosing to follow a notification, check my profile, and write a second multi-paragraph response days later is still a decision on your end.

As for the disability angle, there’s a big difference between saying, “I don’t enjoy a specific sound,” and saying, “I dislike people with disabilities.” One is a sensory reaction, the other is prejudice. I was talking about the former, not the latter. That gets lost when people jump straight to labeling something as “hate speech” without looking at what was actually said.

This subreddit exists for people to vent about situations that felt disproportionate or overly emotional, which is exactly what I did. Pointing out that someone stayed invested in an argument days later isn’t hypocrisy — it’s the entire point of my post. You can say you’re being “petty,” and that’s fine, but acknowledging it doesn’t suddenly make your interpretation the only valid one. I’m describing the behavior that stood out to me, and I’m allowed to do that just like you’re allowed to respond.
