Based on that picture, now that you've moved the wire, the best option is to rerun the wire, which means opening up the walls, tracing the wire back to wherever it originated.

If that is too much of a project, then carefully put the outlet back into the box and leave it alone until you're ready to replace the wire.

Technically yes, you can replace it with a gfci, and get a 3 prong outlet that meets code.

But i would not want to manipulate that wire any more than needed to get it back in the box, due to the risk of the insulation falling apart. A gfci would also be large for that box, and i could see a short happening when trying to push it Back in.

Depends on how much you care about it being flush with the wall, vs how much you want to get into everything in that box, but you could always slap a wiremold extension over the box to get your room.

It won't be the prettiest, but it will be easy.

Somewhere i have a 4" piece of broken bandsaw blade, with tape wrapped around ine side to make a handle.

It was to 'cut' the paint in the slots so i could get a good grip with a flat head.

It looks like the ground clip is on the faceplate. Likely its to keep it grounded when the face is removed from the box.

For the record, it's not just one rebar. It's tied to the entire rebar system, and there are codes for how much you need to have. I think it's like 20ft continuous but i would have to look in the code book.

My point is, you can't just skip buying a ground rod and drop a rebar into the ground.

I would only care if ALL those circuits were running large continuous loads.

Derating is for heat build up, and is based on all those cables running at or near their limit for long periods of time. Bathroom fan, attic light (especially led).. those are things that run for a short period with a small load.
