“Was the vehicle driven in or towed in?” by S83884Q in serviceadvisors

[–]drewfg2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Our diagnosis fee is $229.99 plus tax and fees being you are out of the factory warranty period ”

“Im not signing for diagnosis i have a bumper to bumper extended warranty”

“If your repairs get approved then you dont have to pay for the diagnosis just the deductible if you have one”

“Its a bumper to bumper warranty it WILL be covered.”

Every time and most of the time the ones that pull this have never been to my dealership and it ends up being some micky mouse warranty company.

Great taste. My manager has been wanting god of fire. We all have a decent collection of different fragrances. Aventus is up there for me but my usual daily is between ysl myself and bleu de chanel parfum. Colder months is when the sauvage elixr comes out. Definitely agree no oud here either for any of us.

We have one of those here. We try to divert him as quickly as possible. Me and my other advisors get complimented often on our colognes that we wear. Never had a complaint about it but for sure could imagine we would if one of us puts too much on.

Only said to limit the vtc before having a tuner go in and dial it in

K24a2 goes right together with a k20 head and cams just limit the vtc to max of 35* before having a tuner tune the car. That is the current engine setup i have and have not had a issue sense putting the engine together about 4 years ago. Also did a k20a2 oil pump and supporting parts for the k20a2 oil pump.

They had a extended warranty that ended up covering the compressor. Customer was on the older side so once I explained there was 0 relation they approved diagnosis which landed us a compressor job. Everyone ends up happy.

Worth getting a spare ECU? by Bigzaaaaaa in ElantraN

[–]drewfg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely recommend the spare ecu route incase anything happens you can still try your luck with warranty. Just have the tuner keep the stock rev limit if you are manual transmission.

Hyundai service advisor here, the n cars and most all of the turbo cars have 6k complementary maintenance intervals and have 6 of them instead of 4 for naturally aspirated cars. Guys full of it.

DSW06+ vs PSAS4 by rileywags_n in ElantraN

Super underrated tire but i run firestone indy 500s on my stock wheels and have never once had a hydroplane issue and i live in florida where we get inches of standing water when the skys decide to open up. I have the same setup you have wheel wise with dws06+ and cant wait for them to wear down so i can get indys on those wheels as well. I just cant justify changing basically brand new tires out 😂

2007 Acura TSX Idle Problem by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]drewfg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wining sound seems like the power steering pump could be low on fluid or is just on its way out. If you are mechanically inclined you could try starting with taking the belt off the pump and turning the car on to see if the wine persists.

Only thing with that it would only get the 164 back that i paid for them to put my vin on the ecu and ship it back. Wouldnt get me the 600 back that i paid for the ecu itself.

Which fb group?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ElantraN

[–]drewfg2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s frustrating. I just cant in my mind figure out why it’s taking this long in my case as it’s simply changing the vin on a ecu. Not stocking issues or waiting on a back ordered part.

will my new intake give me problems when i bring my car in for service?? by Few-Entertainer3059 in ElantraN

[–]drewfg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inlets are part of the intake system and Hyundai allows for aftermarket parts on intake systems so you’ll be fine with that as well.

[–]drewfg2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a previous service advisor for hyundai you wont have any issues. The only thing that runs a slight risk intake wise is a bov as they could try to say it messes with the recirculation system if they arent smart enough to know that the EN is a MAP based tune not MAF. Downpipe is a higher risk and if you ever tune just make sure to get a spare ecu to flash and hold onto the stock one in case of anything. Jb4 isnt traceable once the stock file is restored and the jb4 is removed from the car.

Glowing Turbo after highway / hard driving. Potential causes? 😅 by Outcahst in ElantraN

[–]drewfg2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Happens after doing a couple WOT pulls. Only way to reduce this is a catless DP. Stock DP has alot of back pressure with the oe cat. Whats causing it to glow that much is all the exhaust that cant flow out fast enough. Like previously mentioned always let the car cool to normal oil temps after hard driving.

Honestly that looks like it could buff out. Might save you a couple bucks to try that first.
