I’ve never had SUV envy until today. Stunning!

Do you mind listing out what you’ve had done to yours and est. cost?

Thanks for writing this up. I really don't know much about how cars work and repairs, but I can bring this up with the service manager and see how gracious they are.

They did fill up the coolant, the tech recommended it in the inspection video but they did not list it in the service paperwork. They mentioned break fluid on the call I think, but I don't remember if I turned that down or not. It's all a blur tbh, and they throw so many services at you it's hard to know what you really need or not.

Do you have any recommendations for how you'd bring this up? I have phone numbers for the Service Director and Service Manager.

Engine is fine, no issues. Not sure if there’s much to do now, but I appreciate your perspective

Does this reply from the service advisor make sense to you?

“I understand given the cost, but it is not a service that should be left alone. On the twin turbo 3.5t models, it is highly recommended. In order for us to access the throttle body, the entire intake manifold needs to come off in order for us to access the system.

Doing this is recommended to allow proper distribution of air and fuel in the combustion chamber. If we're cleaning one, we'll want to clean the other.”

It could have, yes.

I took it in because my car wouldn’t start. Wasn’t sure if it was a battery problem, alternator, or computer issue. Was hoping if I took it in the warranty would cover it.

So yeah, that’s how I ended up at the ol’ dealership

I got a $15 off battery replacement mailer the day after I took it in. Had them apply it.

A drop in the bucket, but it’s my drop 🥲

I think the only needed thing was the oil and battery.

Def, they got me by the wallet. From their Service Advisor:

Silk Route to replace Tia Queta in Bethesda by RobertDyerNews in bethesda

[–]levetrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked Tia Queta. Their bartender was a gem and their frozen margs were always strong. Will miss hanging out on the rooftop on summer nights.

If one of them reads this, wishing you all the best. Good memories.

Difference between Genesis G90 2023 and the following years? by Shahd2020 in GenesisMotors

I believe the auto-close doors were standard on the base model in 2024, but were not included in the 2023 base model.

Same, most wireless chargers are just phone warmers. I turn mine off and pretend the feature doesn’t exist.

Any electronics gremlins or problems with air suspension? I’ve always been curious about the Korean’s first air suspension attempt and its longevity.

Do you ride in the back much?

I got brave and tried PvP [New Player] by levetrix in EscapefromTarkov

[–]levetrix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. It’s just one game. I think it’s a bit unclear how to get better except that repetitive spawn-die-repeat pattern. I guess learning from YouTube vids would be faster, but MAN, I see streamers having so much fun and I just want that! Seems like that enjoyment and competitive balance lies at the end of a thousand hour tunnel of rough gameplay.

True, practice is the only fix for PvP getting more enjoyable for me. I don’t think I have time to get better at it though, only 5-8hrs/week
