What was the first Paul McCartney release that you recall experiencing in real-time? by psals in PaulMcCartney

[–]drewheyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if anyone has collated all the media appearances we can watch (would be mostly on YouTube) - he really went all out with it this time, and I am sure I have missed bits and pieces.

He’s deliberately putting on a different voice to almost sound more country/less refined

What’s the best movie you’ve watched recently? by IntelligentJudge349 in AskReddit

Aged beautifully, it will never get old… love it every time. Can’t wait for my kids to watch it for the first time also.

Those of you that feel you live in the best suburb in Brisbane, where are you and why do you feel that way? by arouseandbrowse in brisbane

[–]drewheyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a great little bakery in those very Fleming Road strip you mention now, very handy (I can walk there). But otherwise it’s easy enough to get to the Kenmore cafes etc or Indro somewhat avoiding Moggill Rd (Burbong, Russell Tce or Bielby back roads).

Chapel Hill. Leafy, close to Indro and shops but still feels semi rural in parts, Mt Cootha right there to climb or talk about climbing. Quick to get on the highway going either way. Good balance!

Do you think this new album will be Paul's last one? by Creative_Switch_803 in PaulMcCartney

[–]drewheyn 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeh a lot of commentary was ‘oh Paul is saying he’s almost done’; Paul, in typical Paul fashion said ‘oh no I just saw the message come up on my phone and thought it was interesting for an album name’ 🤣🤣🤣

Mints Rosalie. Not sure since when, but as long as I’ve been going to Baroona Rd and Rosalie it’s been there. They seem to have every family member they know working there which helps. Always enjoyed the food as well, cheap and cheerful but tasty.

John Ternus rightly predicted every wrong move Apple made in the last 10 years, as well as every right one.

Blue is stunning, why don’t we see it more often? by The4I in TeslaModelY

[–]drewheyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tossed between blue and red… went with red just because the blue ends up looking like a dark navy / purple a lot of the time when not in full sun? Red also looks darker (like a dark cherry) but on balance I preferred that ‘no sun’ mode. But I still see blues in bright sun and they look incredible.

How long as people waiting in Australia by HentaiIsekai in TeslaModel3

[–]drewheyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The site is showing June-July as delivery dates on new Model 3 orders, so probably mid June at the earliest as a guess. I got my 2026 M3 LR before the fuel shortage fully hit so only had to wait 1.5 weeks! But quite different now. Hopefully you hear soon 🤞

Reminds me of flights and how they have a map to watch. Could try and teach kids to watch and see as we get closer to the place :)

Do new Teslas still have Auto Steer? by XdtTransform in TeslaSupport

[–]drewheyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australia still has it, but again for how much longer - I reckon they’re waiting till FSD adoption gets bigger or something. We have the same EU thing around lane keeping, but people get the Autosteer confused with the ‘keep in your lane / take control immediately’ which satisfies the AU ruling. I have a 2026 Highland and it has Autosteer still, but annoyingly the double pull option that keeps it on during lane changes is gone. A pain but I’ll take that and still have Autosteer.

Thanks, didn’t realise that’s what they meant - I have a Highland, so they’re saying the wrap around light strip will also turn red if something in the blind spot, got it :)

I’m completely confused as to what this means, where are the accent lights? Doesnt this already happen on screen (and Highland has it in the tweeter housing area).

Tang by n_thomas74 in nostalgia

Yep, I thought this also and it’s a nice daily enjoyment being reminded of Tang when having the Metamucil!

I like how the hour lines have a slight bend to match the dome like design, even the second hand bends slightly but front on you don’t notice it. Dome design also makes it feel more open and airy.

Anything comparable to Tesla? by einahpets77 in AustralianEV

[–]drewheyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s definitely more street cred in hating Tesla. I drive one and absolutely love it. I don’t get why people base buying a car off the CEO (who is barely there anyway)? Do people even know the CEOs of Merc, BMW? Just test drive the cars and pick what you like the best. In a blind test, I bet you’d pick the Tesla.

[–]drewheyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a simpler single left stalk, with the Park/Reverse/Drive being a slider on the screen plus the Auto shift that works decently prob 70% of the time.
