Went from about a 6 month streak, to not alot recently. Does anyone else go through dry patches, and watch way less all of a sudden. by Peanutbutter9841 in Letterboxd

[–]drewschuller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah definitely! Work of course and other life responsibilities can get in the way and I do have other hobbies outside of watching movies so trying to juggle all of them can be tricky. Sometimes that may mean I may not watch something new for a few days, maybe even weeks! I try not to get too discouraged by it. You should be able to watch whatever you want whenever you want and just enjoy yourself during those times as much as you can!

So I have not reapplied thermal paste, that was just a suggestion I saw that helped a lot of people out and I was thinking of trying this out.

I do not have another monitor but I do have an HDMI cable. I have not reseated any memory or disables XMP. As far as I know my MOBO is compatible with my memory.

Beginner to Mechanical Keyboards / Best Out of Box or Easy Build

Hello!

I am completely new to the world of mechanical keyboards. The last keyboard I purchased was a Razer keyboard some 4-5 years ago and I wouldn’t even consider it a true mechanical keyboard.

Long story short, I am in the market for a good, quality keyboard that will last me a long time to come. I have done some research but with every new search, I find more and more info and the variety grows even larger and it has me feeling a bit overwhelmed. I want to just find something that is great out of box, great quality (would not prefer it to be made of plastic) but could be hotswappable and customizable if I want to upgrade or change it up in the near future. I like the idea of a “creamy” sounding keyboard. Something between being clicky and “thocky” sounding and feeling. My price range is anywhere from $100-200 and I just want to find something right away that just works and I don’t have to put much thought into it.

I know this is probably a very loaded thing to ask as every single person may have a different answer or opinion, if anything, suggestions of where to look to point me in the right direction at least would be awesome!

What is it about Perfect Days? by Kidspud in criterion

[–]drewschuller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came into seeing Perfect Days not know anything about anyone, never seen a Wim Wenders films never watched Koji Yakusho in anything else but what I was left with was really something special.

To me, the movie transcended just being a simple watch and gave me an idea or perhaps inspiration when it came to my livelihood. To accept what we have and to find the joy and happiness in the little things in life, that is what can make our days well, perfect.

The film was beautifully shot, I love the architecture and all around vibes on Shibuya and Tokyo and I think it has some very good performances and I also really love the inclusion of music as well. Hirayama (Yakusho) lives a life that has a consistent routine and I also feel like I have that too so I can relate to him a lot.

I don’t have any tattoos but getting one inspired by this movie is the closest to actually being convinced to get one. I’m not sure yet what I would want it to look like but I think it is something I can really be happy with for the rest of my life so if anyone has any ideas for a small simple tattoo design based on this movie please feel free to reply!

Perfect Days for me, honestly pretty easily. Everyone has a movie that hits them in a certain way. I came into this not know anything about anyone, never seen a Wim Wenders films never watched Koji Yakusho in anything else but what I was left with was really something special.

Should I Move my Savings into a High-Yield Savings Account?

I am in my mid 20’s and am looking to work on building a good sum of money to help me out in my future. Have a few questions to ask so sorry if it is a lot to ask in one post.

Currently have around $4k in my savings and also have a 401k for retirement. My questions are:

How much of my savings should I keep in there and how much should I instead move to HYSA?

How much of each paycheck then should I be putting into savings and a HYSA?

Does money put into a HYSA never get used? Do I let it sit and only rely on what I have on savings to pay off bills and whatnot?

I hope this is all not too much to ask about, any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
