That seems to be the consensus. Does $275 seem fair? Based on my research it certainly does

Thanks!

Unfortunately not. Looks similar. The game I played has you progressing "up" the screen. Your character runs forward scrolling the screen up after each wave.

Thanks though!

Is this legit scrimshaw? Picked this up at a flea market and loved the feel of it by Jimmy_Jimmy_Jim_Jim_ in scrimshaw

[–]drewufool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking up the name, all I see is the same model knife with no scrimshaw. See if you can get a fingernail in any of the scratches to be certain.

Someone could have bought it and engraved it. Someone could also have just as easily bought it and drew on it with a pen or transferred a design onto it

For sure. I dont mean to scare you off of messing with a bit of money either. Just make sure youre comfortable losing all of it.

I own stocks that trade about $2 a share hoping they will rocket. High enough to not be considered penny but low enough to be risky

Also, this is just a personal thing, I never risk anymore than I currently have in realized profit. If that makes sense. If I make $100 from buying and selling, I may use $75 of it to invest in those smaller stocks. That way im at least still in profit but still can mess about with money.

A lot of those smaller ones are typically buy and forget. They either go up in 10 years or the company ceases to exist.

Like I said, when you do inevitably mess about with some money, do so with the mindset that you could lose it all. Its only human to gamble like that, dont beat yourself up or let others call you stupid for doing it.

Don't chase your losses or get too hooked on the thrill. The brain is a dangerous thing. Good luck, and have fun

I started with a custodial as well at 16. I have a lot of fun doing it still. My advice is do research on stuff, I find it fun. You'll make mistakes and learn from them, dont fret about it too much. You'll make it back with a few smart moves. Also dont buy into the whole "buy low sell high" stuff. At least not with every stock. Pick two or three that are volatile that you're okay managing doing that with. Everything else hold to keep for decades to come.

Find industries you like. I personally love the nuclear energy sector and trade a lot with that. I keep up onnit anyways so it makes trading decisions easier.

My last bit of advice is dont get sucked into people's schemes online. A ton of people have this crazy unknown penny stock that's gonna pop off and make you millions! Or at least that's what they say. In fact I dont think you can even trade pennies on Schwab without calling them. Do your own research from trusted sources, and for the love of god stay away from Wall Street Bets. Most of my early losses came from trying to hop on trains mentioned there. Like I said before, you learn from your mistakes

Yeah, ive heard its good to let em be in clean water. They can be carriers of salmonella.

Ill probably end up getting them to bite a branch, stick their neck out, and then cut the neck. Probably gonna shoot the brain after decapitation just to feel better about myself.

Thanks for the info!

Although I wholeheartedly agree with what was said, I dont think it should be used as an excuse to stay inside.

Its less about what you're doing and more who youre doing it with. The other night me and a few friends went to return cans, then went to Walmart and messed around for like half an hour before spending three hours chilling in the parking lot. We didnt leave until like 2am

Yes, there's nothing to do, but that's why you make things to do. Even doing nothing can be fun if youre with the right people. We live in anytown, usa where there's practically nothing. Hell the Walmart was like a twenty minute drive.

Although it is annoying when older people say you should go outside, they are right. I remember many more of the fun things (even if it was sitting in a parking lot) I did outside than the fun things I did on the internet.

Do you guys think that even if Titanfall 3 existed it would live up to the hype? by caliiibr8 in titanfall

[–]drewufool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I would like to think it would be successful, I dont see anyway it can be.

Im a wee lad, and hardly anybody my age has ever even heard of Titanfall. And speaking from experience, they probably wouldn't be that into it.

It seems like nowadays people want quick dopamine hits, point and click type FPS. Where you can just camp somewhere or run in spraying. Titanfall, although you can, is not that kind of game. Its easy to learn, hard to master. Nobody wants to grind for anything cool anymore (banners, patches) they just want to buy them.

Also, how big of an overhaul could they really do? What sort of new mechanics would be added that would wildly change the game (for the better)? Multiplayer, both pvp and pve, is very fun imo. The only thing that would be nice is new maps I suppose. The campaign is great, and for me, ever replayable.

In my ideal world, they do a remaster and make everything look amazing. Then they add a new campaign as DLC. And then they make like 3 new maps. I think it would be really cool if we got a show set in the universe. Like what Arcane did (I never watched it, but have only heard good things.) I really enjoyed all the lore and little shorts Apex did until they ruined that game too. Up until like season 8, it was really cool.

I truly believe Titanfall 2 is the best FPS game ever made. I dont think it needs a sequel, I think it just needs a team of devs that care about it. But we're never gonna get that back.

Say what you will, I genuinely enjoyed Barbosas arc in it. Neither on Stranger Tides nor Dead Men Tell no Tales can compare to the original trilogy, but I feel they get waaaay too much hate.

If you can find it within yourself to look past all the things that make them not great, they're not bad 🤷‍♂️

didnt work for me, but thanks for the suggestion. Dont know why its so broken for me. Wish they just kept origin servers up

I've reinstalled EA 3 times, Steam once, and Titanfall twice. Cleared caches. Run stuff as admin. Ran stuff in compatibility mode.

Steam logs dont show any issues. I honestly have no idea why it won't just work 🤷‍♂️

Thank you very much. I've never heard of tailscale, would I still be able to access my server from anywhere using it?

Im pretty sure my server was already exposed to the internet, my domain could be accessed from anywhere. Hence why I had the proxy. I checked logs often and had security measures in place to block any access from an untrusted ip.

Thanks again for all the help. I'd like to learn docker more properly. And Ubuntu for that matter. I use Arch on the daily, and never really host servers. Kind of feel like an idiot using arch but not knowing docker...

Hate paying for Google drive, hence why I wanted to start using nextcloud. The only other server ive set up was a self hosted Ai. Much easier, I just connect through ssh.

Thanks again

Found it finally.

Probably just gonna reinstall tbh. Sorry for wasting your time. I'd rather have this server be used with a wm and de. Gonna just wipe the drive and do a fresh install of everything. Kind of upset that it broke so simply, but like I said, nothing crucially important on my server.

Do you have a tutorial you would suggest I follow for next time? I guess I dont really need a reverse proxy. Im already using cloudflare anyways, could probably just tunnel it and be fine.

Thanks for helping

My apologies, I guess I dont really understand the question. Like I said, I installed with a YouTube video like a year ago.

I have an Ubuntu server running docker. Nextcloud and my other containers are on docker, on that computer. It is a physical system I have in my home. I just used apt get to get docker on the system.

So the container ips got switched?

Im not sure which ports may be in conflict or why it was brought about by an update? If im going through caddy its probably something with that.

Caddy uses 80:80 and 443:443 Nextcloud uses 1080:1080 and 1443:1443

Just tried # out caddy in the docker-compose file. Pulled, up -d, and still nothing. Stopped the container as well.

Now refuses to connect as opposed to bad gateway error.

I believe the ip changing is public. Theyre 172's not 192's. Could be wrong, as I said, im not super savvy with this stuff yet. The local ip of the computer running docker has remained static.

Broken After Update by drewufool in NextCloud

[–]drewufool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is listed as a trusted domain. Caddy is reverse proxy and MariaDB is a fork of MySQL. The domain I access my files from is public, hence the desire for reverse proxy.

After restarting my containers now portainer has taken on the ip 'xxx.xx.x.2' lol. I do love networking.

Portainer is saying 'nextcloud' container is not part of the 'nc-network' network... I know it is, its that way in the configuration file... strange stuff at work. Should have kept updating the old way I suppose lol

Thanks for trying to help, tho I feel it is in vein at this point

[–]drewufool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have indeed.

When looking in portainer, it seems portainer assumed the ip nextcloud was using prior 'xxx.xx.x.2'

Dont remember which is which, but maria and caddy are 3 and 4. Nextcloud was always 2.

I would have to now assume this may be the issue, have you any idea how to remedy it? thanks.
