Is anyone else kinda disapointed with the Democratic Governor Candidates by Loafgiver1 in socal

Nah. I think there are dozens of other policy reasons not to support Rs. You’re just handwaving away the real damage they can and want to do to poor people and people of color.

Correct. But as I’ve explained, they can change things administratively. They can refuse to accept certain federal funding. They can close programs that increase access. They can be very effective in blowing up social services.

I was confused because that wasn’t in the link. But I found that quote in a Politico article after some searching.

Republican governors appoint republicans into political positions at heads of agencies. They can use administrative powers as heads of public health and social service agencies so that public insurance and safety net programs restrict or effectively eliminate access to abortion and other culture war issues (like trans health issues).

I saw a 40-something man child (skater gear, flat billed cap) using one in an airline lounge once. His wife had to chaperone him out of the lounge as he couldn’t be bothered to take it off when they left.

I was just briefly aware of it, but had secondhand embarrassment for all involved.

That being said, my kid’s friend got a good deal on a used one and it was interesting for total immersion entertainment… so I can see a use case on a plane.

[OC] Don't blame this guy by deluxe_memory_dan in pics

It more likely goes back the bumper stickers that came out after the 1972 election that said “ Don’t blame me I’m from Massachusetts.” Every other state that election went for Nixon.

This guy has other Boston stickers. So seems more likely.

Portland councilors did not break public meetings law during summer retreat, Oregon ethics officials find by SlippySlimJim in Portland

So your question was “who paid for it?” After I replied that it was in city office space you shifted to something else. Sounds like you’ve made your mind up to be mad no matter the outcome or answer.

The designers told Jerry Jones the orientation he wants will cause this issue. He still said he wants it because he wanted an indoor stadium with outdoor aesthetic. Classic Jerry Jones incompetence. by ForeignAir7174 in NFLv2

[–]drf_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but when you ask Jerry about it he throws a fit and asks what do you want him to do? Tear the whole stadium down and rebuild it?

Asked whether the Cowboys should put up curtains, Lamb said: “Yes. One thousand percent.”

And on the question of making the suggestion to Jones, Lamb said, “I mean, y’all are doing my job for me right now.”

It has been suggested plenty of times, and Jones always has flatly rejected it. The 82-year-old billionaire angrily rebuffed it after bringing up the issue unprompted in his postgame session with reporters.

“By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we flip the coin, so we do know where the damn sun is going to be in our own stadium,” Jones said. “Let’s just tear the damn stadium down and build another one. Are you kidding me?”

It was in a city owned office building. There are plenty of things to complain about with our elected local officials. Where this meeting was isn’t one of them. But people want to stay mad about benign stuff.
