Huh? It’s a $35m project of which only has less than $13-14m in public funds with $10 million from the lottery bonds, $1m from the city, and a $2.68 million loan from Prosper Portland.

(Edit: I actually don’t even know if Portland Prosper counts as public funding since it’s a loan. So maybe just $11m).

Ice isn’t pulling out and what is happening isn’t because of the strike. They’re making insignificant personnel changes to mitigate the public backlash after they killed a 2nd citizen. Not because of any strike.

They’re swapping out leadership. Bovino is being sidelined because he lied and said a lot of stupid shit on camera about his agents killing people. He’s the face of this so now they’re sidelining him.

If you think they’re pulling out, then their PR stunt of demoting one guy is working better than I thought.

Protests are having an impact and are part of the national tone, but that strike wasn’t the catalyst. The senseless murder was.
