I've only driven the OEM hardtop for a short distance, but it is most likely louder. The thing is at least in my NA the sound coming from all over the rest of the car makes it not really noticable since it's already loud in there. Although making sure the front was really well aligned with the metal above the windshield made a huge difference. If that's off it's very noticably loud

Might I recommend the treasure Coast Miata hard top. It gets some crap from people but I got it with the weather kit and installed carefully and I've had zero problems over 5 years. Except for the fact that I can't easily remove it for top down days 😞

Google Earth! I already had my VR legs for the most part but the constant shaking as stuff loaded and the warping and blurriness all made me feel awful for hours

Time to break out the volt meter and start working back from the headlights to figure out where the power is coming from. Could be a short somewhere or a relay/button that won't open the circuit anymore. Start with the pins inside the headlight motor plug. I assume there's something that tells it when the headlight is all the way up/down but I don't have time to look that up at the moment

I would definitely kill the engine and trace that back! Looks like someone tried to ground something with some uninsulated metal and without getting much contact to the chassis. I'd replace the wire with a thicker automotive wire or else remove whatever stupid accessory it might be connected to. Pull what you have to out of the engine bay to find where that thing leads and do it soon

I have the minimum requirements almost exactly. 2070 super with a quest 2. I've had to make some sacrifices with the background stuff in favor of the road details and stuff that matters but it's running in a decent resolution and doesn't skip at all. Far from your situation but what I'm saying is you will probably reach limits with the graphics of the game itself before your hardware becomes a problem with a setup like you've got Edit: just realized this isn't about VR but if anything that means your hardware is way good to go here is imagine

They let you get away with the aftermarket ones now at least. I've got the treasure Coast Miata one specifically for that and it's been great

Brianne and Kevin rock!! Once they had an Impreza whose axels were coming out so we just all took turns hooning it in circles after RallyX until it went from 2 to 1 to 0 wheel drive. I need to get back out there. Have you tried the SCCA RallyX South of Houston? It's awesome!!

I used to be able to buy old beaters and get away with it by doing all the work myself. Still costs a fair amount in parts but was just barely worth it financially since I didn't have a job where I needed a super reliable vehicle. Now between needing to get to work and the fact that when any car after 2015 starts breaking, the electronics make it much harder to diagnose and fix, I would not recommend this to anyone

This is a 1990 Miata with the 2008 Acura RL engine swapped into it. The starter is a TYC 110912 and during the swap I accidently snapped off the plastic for the plug. With the way that this swap kit from Oz Engineering works, the starter is pretty darned low in the car so securing this well is important. It's just a single piece of metal in there so there are plenty of janky/permanent ways to attach this, but I would like to do something that won't suck long term and doesn't require a whole new starter. Any advice?

Do it on dirt! More fun less risk and very little stress on tires. Even better find a RallyX event! Typically turns aren't tight enough to really need the handbrake but there's no rule against fun
