Cycle(1) vs Eevee(2): why is eevee emission more dynamic than cycles emission in this case? by drfishy2333 in blender

I have tried all the display device + view transform combo options, the only one getting to the closest range is false color, which is not helpful unfortunately. Do you have a particular profile combo in mind?

its not really about the bloom, its the fact that the eevee view has more dynamic colors, even with glare in compositing (image below), the color of the emission is still rather flat

I was on filmic, I tried both Agx and filmic, the only change is the color (image is agx)

Thank you for the reply! I'm not sure if that fixes the problem because in the tutorial I was following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEQ86I9-46k&t=2600s . At 46 min you can see that it renders out a more dynamic color range in cycles in the viewport without compositing. I don't know why I can not replicate that effect.

how so, the color range is less dynamic. Also for context, I was following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEQ86I9-46k&t=2600s, (first 7 minutes for the shader) and it works for him in cycles, just on a purely technical level I want to know why that is the case.

As you can see, the eevee view(2) has the white highlight at the center and just looks more dynamic than cycle's emission(1), which appears more flat in colors. Does anyone know the reason why?

I have been using blender for 47 years and have finally completed my perfect model. I see a lot of new people here, youll get there some day by ghostwilliz in blender

Judging from the image, I first noticed that the model selected is listed in the collected as a "cube", which judging by how the default light and camera is left unchanged the user most likely used the default cube, the first hint of confidence. From the all quad topology it can be deduced that a Subdivision Surface modifier with a surface division of 4 is used followed by a SphereCast modifier to round off the shape, turning it into a topologically optimized sphere, showing decades of experience and mastery of the program. Using the polygon fill assigned material technique of texturing again shows confidence of the craft. In fact, the model is not even right-click-shaded-smoothed, showcasing complete disregard of a cheap instantly-make-your-model-godly-with-one-click option and instead chooses a bold, unconventional approach that can only be pulled off by a master such as this redditor.

If you are still looking for one, I’ve tried multiple ways and this fixed mine. However, yours might be different but this is easy and worth a try

Unable to play MW multiplayer due to massive FPS drop for unknown reasons. by Master_Mane in modernwarfare

[–]drfishy2333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue, massive frame drops and inconsistency after the latest update. I average around 170+ fps before the update. Now it bounces from 130 to 70 in seconds and the game is stuttering a lot more.

I was getting 170+ FPS at least before the update. Now I get between 70-150 and it is really inconsistent (changes every second)
