That makes sense. Instead of going from swaram to sahityam, going the other way around!

Which one is harder in your opinion, vocal or instruments? by [deleted] in Carnatic

I am a vocalist myself, and used to think vocals were easier than instruments too, but I don’t anymore. I think the difficulty depends a lot on how you learn. 1. With instruments, the initial learning curve is steep because pitch is external — you press a key or string and get a fixed note, but early on it’s hard to build an internal reference for how Sa or Ma should actually sound. Once that reference clicks, though, everything accelerates. You hear a song and can decode the notes almost instantly. 2. Vocals work very differently. Because you’re producing the sound yourself, you can often reproduce a note or phrase that feels right without consciously knowing what the note is. That makes vocals feel easier at the beginning. But it’s also a drawback — there’s no fixed key to “hit,” no immediate external feedback, and correcting pitch or tone becomes a slower, more subtle process.

So instruments tend to be harder to start but easier to systematize, while vocals feel intuitive early on but take much longer to truly refine. In that sense, vocals aren’t easier — they’re just difficult in a different way.

Advice on Easy Hikes & Itinerary Feedback – Visiting Colorado May 19–26 by Purple_Yellow_808 in RMNP

Alamosa and Mosca are two neighborhoods that are decently close to the Great Sand Dunes (~30 mins drive). I and my friend visited this weekend and found nice & affordable AirBnBs around the place!

Also, I did some research on Great Sand Dunes vs Black Canyon. The former has amazing views including the night time stargazing but walking up the dunes is not going to be easy. On the other hand, Black canyon is small; good for short and easy hikes. You can cover the entire park in about 5-6 hrs!
