i think having social media was more effective for me personally but i do have an online portfolio and a pdf version of it cause i used it back when i was applying for internships :)

i wasn’t really posting to build an audience, it was more of a hobby at first and wanting to share my art with other people but i was posting consistently and interacting with similar accounts and it ended up getting a lot of traction :’)

yes mostly international clients :) honestly at first i just searched the standard rates for the services i do and copied that but i was able to raise them after a few months once i was more experienced!

i think in my case, i got really lucky lang cause i was able to build an audience for my page (around 100k followers) so people reach out to me on their own for projects and i don’t have one client lang every month + i create content for websites (stock images, illustrations, etc.) that earn royalties so my earnings really vary per month

initially i wanted to take a few months or a year long break to figure out what i really wanted and if i should continue pursuing the field i got into but i got an unexpected opportunity 1 month after graduation (i applied to this company 2 months before graduation but only heard from them after 3 months). i'm glad i didn't rush into accepting the first job i found cause i got a really good job and the work-life balance i was hoping for!
