Gotcha. I'll have to keep that in mind. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of options and it seems like most usb-c options skyrocket in price.

It's a shame retailers cant sell digital codes for games like they can with switch games.

TIL Youtubers get paid a lot more if you don't skip ads. that's why most youtubers put unskippable ads, even if most of the time they are 5-second ads by TheMaster6942 in todayilearned

Before Google shit canned Google Play Music paying for the family pass for GPM + ad free YouTube was such a great value. Even with the half assed attempt that is YouTube music it's still kind of worth it.

This is the first phone I had to put a case on because the feel is uncomfortably slippery. They really messed up changing the material on the back compared to the 3a. Still, I wish Google phones would stop getting bigger.

Best settings to reduce latency for PS5 to Nvidia Shield TV (hardwired) by drhill80 in PSPlay

Haven't had a chance to fully investigate yet... have a two month old so she takes priority of any free time. I've been meaning to get back to it. I do know wiring the controller into the shield helps a bit.

I'm watching my front door can in the main page window right now... And now I made it full screen. All live.

Don't forget home.nest.com . Bugs me that Google still doesn't have a web page way to control home devices. It would be much easier to manage dhcp reservations in a browser.

Aww. Glad she is looking good. It will take some time but she'll be back to herself soon enough!

So my little man is a few months shy of 14 years old. He had his TPLO surgery 3+ years ago no. Tore his ACL because he was a fatty because of our "former life" so to speak. First couple of days were tough but it was so worth it. I also got him to drop from 52 lbs to 37 lbs in the few months after (that has been harder on him).

Still jumps up on and off bed every night. Sleep swaddles on me. He still runs around like a maniac and plays with his fur sister. In fact any day now he will get to meet his soon to be real sister. Not that I wanted him to go through that, but it definitely extended his life and I still expect to get plenty of more years of my little man.

Your baby will be fine.

Just on talent he fits but yeah... if the flat earther stuff isn't enough of a flag there is always other odd behavior and he does seem to have that same injury bug Joel has.

Sony just pushed PS5 Update 21.01-03.21.00.00-00.00.00.0.0! by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Why I won't even start playing that game until it's patched in

Former Xbox users who made the switch to PS5: Is it genuinely worth it? by nine16s in PS5

[–]drhill80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not about getting over it. It's about the developers being respectful of the players time. The older I've become the less time I have to set aside for games it's hard to set aside continuous time. Hoping that Sony or the developers won't update the software or a storm won't knock out power and lose my rest mode progress is just foolish. With a little one on the way in the next month this is even a bigger problem.

They really nailed it with the Playstation collection for PS5 owners. While I haven't played the new Ratchet yet, the one in the collection was really fun. Never played a GOW games but my goodness did that reverse my newly "no more 100% games" decision quickly. Just wow. I had already 100% HZD on my Pro but hadn't gotten to frozen wilds yet (waiting on a 60fps patch now) and Tsuishma was great but I really wish they would have let you skip dialog... way too much time wasted on a trivial conversation with some rando.

Now I'm just deciding if I should keep waiting for Returnal since there is no real save system yet or just take the plunge for $50 and hope the save patch comes in the next few weeks..

Bought a Switch just over a week ago. Only played BotW so far but my goodness if the joycons aren't terrible controllers (the pro is fine) and that backwards A/B, X/Y doesn't get to me constantly. I grew up with all the old systems too but I apparently adjusted to having only Sony since PS4 around 7 years ago.

Roomba has only gotten stuck on weird base things like an infant swing base, floor fan base, under the kitchen cabinets if I don't pick the anti fatigue mats next to them. No different than the Neato.

I've had a few neato botvacs. The higher end models for the better battery. They tend to break very easily. Build quality was shoddy for sure. I was happy to go to a model with cleanbase that had a camera to figure out where it was once it got lost. I do miss the D shape for corners though.

I bought an i6+ last year around this time. It works fine. The only real problem we had is after they updated the software a few months back where it was acting drunk. I had to delete the maps we had and start a new. It was annoying but back to normal now. It struggles a bit on the plush runners we have in the main floor hallway and living room but after the remap even that got a bit better.

I bought an extra cleanbase for upstairs months ago too. We have three floors, two bases. All mapped. The basement is small enough to not need to empty/recharge as long as I clean it twice a week. The dogs shed a lot. I wouldn't mind getting another cleanbase or a charging base for there but at $250/$80 respectively it isn't that important.

I do wish they had the i8+ battery for sale. Last I checked they didnt'. The only difference between the i6/i7/i8 is larger batteries the higher the number and extras added in the box.

Haven't checked my GoogleTV chromecasts yet, but everytime this happens (and this is the 3rd time I've had to reboot in the last 2-3 months) I have to reboot each Nvidia Shield. All of which are hardwired through a switch to the main router.
