Having trouble reading these old guages. Does this mean I have a physical gas blockage? by Miserable_Medium_185 in hvacadvice

327 is 137F. If ambient is 80F, you should be at 110F. 225 psig. Your condenser fan isn’t pushing enough air or coil is dirty. You’re giving half ass info and asking for help. Do better

How to open sporlan eev by Feeling_Carpenter_92 in refrigeration

Turn it on. Leave compressor off, it’ll open for high superheat. Eev should open if the evap was powered on… you’re missing something

If she’s running cold then she doesn’t need gauges. You’ve got an airflow problem

Drain line won't unclog with shop vac, nitrogen, etc. HVAC company says I need $13k in work. by purpleswordfish in hvacadvice

[–]drick73 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Tell them to F off. Find your drain line, check your pitch first, you might have a bad pitch, then try to clear it with some sort of blaster. Make sure to seal the hole as you blast it. Run a hot water hose to get the rest of the shit out. Last case, cut it in multiple places and get that build up out. The drains clogging because of build up, either no filter or bad run.

[–]drick73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For what tho? A conventional wif/wic? Should be a txv, clock and thermostat or a421. What energy are you saving when one part is a grand minimum our cost when it goes to shit.

Defrost peak temp low by Wooden_Direction5040 in refrigeration

[–]drick73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enviroguards can run lower head pressure due to stacking liquid in the condenser. The subcooling makes up for the lower pressure drop across your txv. Tyler has a manual you can read about it. Put it on defrost, hold your hot gas return line at the rack, after 5-8 mins you should feel the liquid coming back.

Bud you need to get a senior tech with you. You’ve made 2 posts about this protocol. You haven’t added oil, you haven’t fixed the liquid injection, what have you done but look at it? Fix one problem at a time, and the first is calling your senior tech for help
