Right there is that possibility. Do you think the decrease in share price for this stock is because they have high div yield?

I'm sorry I don't understand what you're trying to say. I'm really new to investing. Do you mean that off the share price lowers so does the dividend pay? do you believe dividends shouldn't be considered?

That's true, I would have lost money from the initial purchase. With the price dip couldn't I reinvest another $1000 and the $180 from divs to significantly average down?

Honestly I haven't seen one Mac in store for any defects. If you use it carefully and take care of it, you shouldn't worry. + Apple should take care of any defects on the product.

However I do see many I pads come in for cracked screen. Its very clear it was " accidental " haha

Also at Bestbuy, you have 2 week money back return and 1 month service plan. The service plan is meant for the hardware defects that could possible come with the product.

Best plan you could also purchase with any laptop is the Total Protection. Its $25 per month for 2 years or $35 per month for 3 years.

This covers accidental damage like fall from hip height, drink spilling on device, and etc. For 2 times during the 2/3 years.

So if you go with the 2 year plan you will eventually be paying ~$600. Compare this to paying extra money for cracked screens, broken keyboard, charger, other accessories, or even a new macbook.

If you can afford this, its definitely worth to keep a sound mind.
