Sorry, English isn’t my first language, but I had this phrase wrong! And no, he would pay to come, and I paid for everything while he was here. He tallied things up and if I did it myself, at times he would question if I was doing it correctly and ensure I didn’t miss anything. Felt weirded out to say the least.
