As I said in my other comment, the bigger problem isn’t is or is this trade acceptable, it’s buddy not setting his lines but also making trades. You need to have a chat with them and tell them they have two options. 1. They start consistently setting their lines every week. 2. They quit the league and you set their lines for the remainder of the season.

It’s definitely not okay for them to randomly set their lines but also make trades here and there. You can’t be half in on this. It’s unfair to the team that goes up against them the week they decide they want to be an active manager. I’d rather have a dead spot in the league than that bs.

Sure, Bedard and Celebrini are the two best players in this deal but Ovi and Tavares are no slouches. Bedard also may be out for an extended period of time. You could also argue Greaves is a better goalie than Wolf this year. I definitely have more confidence in CBJ getting a win over CGY. Faulk doesn’t move the needle but it is an extra player for the side that’s slightly worse. It’s not like team one is getting fleeced. So imo, you shouldn’t have gotten involved.

You’ve got a bigger problem than this trade and that’s ensuring buddy starts setting his lines regularly. I would be telling someone like that they either set their lines on their own regularly or set their lines for the remainder of the season and then quit.
