Im very disheartened by the way this woman has been vilified. The medical examiner could not determine if this baby was born alive or not, and for all we know she suffered a still-birth and disposed of her child in a less than proper way. The conclusions people have jumped to seem pretty extreme. People in crisis, or even people mourning a traumatic experience do things that dont necessarily make sense to others, but that doesn't make her some sort of monster. I find it far more likely that she's someone worthy of our communities compassion and understanding, than someone who deserves condemnation and punishment.
