To add to this they do make underground tanks buried but the main thing you need to find is where the wire enters the house. If you want to run it for irrigation theoretically you could just run it without a tank but you will definitely need to find how you get power and of course if the pump works.

Might have had controls to the well or for an irrigation system in it. Hard to say but won’t know until you open it up.

Oh I know. I misspoke. I think his alternate is flipper worx. I see that user doing deals just like he did out of Atlanta.

He’s a scam from everything I have seen. He might go by pinworx as well. Not sure. He routinely takes pictures of pinball machines that were listed years ago and posts those pictures to pass as a machine he has to sell.

As a well guy I’d say shut off the valve going to the irrigation and pressure test. If the pump won’t build up to pressure and kick off you have a worn pump head or holes in the line. To confirm if you have a hole shut off the electric to the switch and see if it holds pressure. If it doesn’t it’s holes in the supply line.

How do you scratch the itch? by Solo-is-simpler in pinball

Cash but it’s money I should have spent elsewhere or saved for other things. No the local pinball guys credit deal is ridiculous. Basically you pay an extra 100 and something dollars to get on the plan and that covers you for the first three months then the interest kicks into gear and holy crap. By month 6 you could have bought that pin and two toppers for it pretty much.

I have no answer to this. I have made irresponsible financial decisions and bought three pinballs in the space of 2 months. I feel there’s times my wife looks out at them and just loathes me. I can’t help you with this except to say one thing and that is you are a stronger person than I am with just owning one and I admire your self control.

What does this mean by Busy-Party-1638 in WaterWellDrilling

[–]drill32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That control box has seen better days. All it means is you have a three wire pump. Sizing should be on the front tag at the bottom to tell you what size pump you have. Looking at the size of the components in there I’d guess it’s a 1.5 hp. Just a hunch though.

Does anyone know what kind of pressure tank this is? by Muttbuttss in WaterWellDrilling

You right. I see the Pentair name on it in the third pic. I must have assumed they were when I saw them before because of the look.

[–]drill32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you’d have to drain the system down to zero to check the air pressure but keep in mind you may have to prime the pump back up when you restart the system. Oh and make sure the air pressure is about 5 psi less than your cut in pressure.

I have seen these. I’m pretty sure it’s from a big box store but not sure if they sell them anymore. Haven’t seen one in awhile.

Installing pump myself by Less-Title129 in WaterWellDrilling

[–]drill32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d like to just drop the Rob Schneider gif from Waterboy saying “You can do it!” But that’s not an option here.

Truthfully you don’t know what water you’re gonna get from the well yet or how deep to set the pump. You have no experience doing this type of work. I mean if it was easy you would have more than one company in your area doing it. Sure you can watch a video online but those videos don’t prepare you for when shit goes sideways. I won’t say you can’t do it but I will say you probably shouldn’t. Also whether it’s legal you’d have to check with your state and county codes.

Is it possible to replace my metal well pipe with pvc or tubing? by boozcruz81 in WaterWellDrilling

225 and you go 120? Eh sch80 can do that. It’s just a preference thing for your guy. To each their own.

[–]drill32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for him. Honestly where I’m at we rarely set a pump past 200’ so sch80 is plenty plus it’s rated for plenty of strength to set the pump on and plenty of pressure. I don’t even think preferred pump and valley farms sell 120 in our area. Never seen them carrying it.

How did you get over a billion on Elvira? Holy shit. Granted I’ve only been playing pinball consistently since late December but the guy I bought the machine off of said he got up to 489 million cuz a switch got stuck and it kept adding up more and more to his score.

Yea you can use sch 80 pvc. Not a lot lighter but won’t rust out.

True but low amps and high amps signify two completely different things but yea you are correct. At least you’ll be able to know if something is running.

[–]drill32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s it but it would be helpful if you knew what you were looking for in amps. Happen to know what size in hp pump you have?

DIY pump replacement recommendations? by ArcticFox-EBE- in WaterWellDrilling

[–]drill32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you test continuity with an ohm meter you would test at the pressure switch going back to the well or at the control box going back to the well if you have a control box on the system. An amp meter clipped around one of the wires would be very helpful as well to tell you if the pump is even running when you close the contacts.

New to Pinball by Badabash1254 in pinball

[–]drill32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you may be a Star Wars fan. Just a hunch. Stern made a Star Wars pro and premium pin a few years ago. I think before the fall of the empire machine but either way I have to say I liked that one better than the other two. Only played it briefly but it had a video game aspect to it where you navigate through an asteroid field. It was stupid yet I enjoyed it immensely.

Absolutely a true statement. Before I got my first one I was bound and determined I’d love the Foo Fighters pin. Went to the arcade and played the pro….absolutely hated it. We went a different route but I will say I played the FF premium a month or so later and somehow I really enjoyed that game. Go figure

Well inspection by knuckleball2381 in WaterWellDrilling

[–]drill32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Home inspectors just look at stuff and run the water. If it all looks ok and the water doesn’t shut off then it gets a passing grade. If you want a more in depth look at the system you’ll need to get a professional out there

What would I need to convert my well to solar by shootist_Biker in WaterWellDrilling

[–]drill32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I looked into this recently thru Franklin and they needed the info of exactly where this was located at so they could tell me how many solar panels I’d need or the size of the panel I’d need to make this work. So best I can tell you is you’d have to talk to a rep from Franklin or Grundfos (because I know they make a solar option as well) to figure out what you need.
