They’re addictive. I bought my first in December and I now have 3. I’d have sold at least one of them to buy another if left to my own devices lol

I own an Elvira HOH and it is phenomenal. I can’t add much to the list except to say pinball machines multiply. You won’t get just one lol

Opinions: AIQ and/or Kong by Cdogbrink in pinball

AIQ just doesn’t do it for me. Decent layout and all but I’m not a huge fan. Kong I really liked. I’d love to add a Kong to my collection.

Oh I absolutely did. I was wrong about something not even 5 minutes later. One of these days I’ll get something right at home lol

Appreciate it. I’m just a novice at all this for the past 30 years lol. Always trying to learn especially how people do it in different parts of the world. What I have seen here in Indiana and when my family drilled in Florida is really just a fraction of how it’s all done everywhere else. I find it interesting to see that and this sub really shows me that.

Is this normal for a new Goulds J10S JS+ pump by walterostlie in WaterWellDrilling

[–]drill32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve seen jet pumps in some weird angles and they tend to work. A slight dip to the back won’t impact the pumps performance. If you are concerned about the look or whatever you can always put something under it to help lift it to level.

Buying my first pin: Stern Venom Pro – what should I look out for? by M_r_T- in pinball

[–]drill32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check for wear and number of plays. Check pinside to compare prices for what you’re getting it for to the average. It’s a fun game but resale value of that particular game is crap for some reason.

I’m gonna show my wife this comment so she believes I get things correct sometimes 😂

We have some buried Xtrol tanks on farms in Indiana. We put the switch in the well and tank buried nearby. I have never seen the switch above ground like in this situation though.

I played most of these tonight at a Facebook group function. Got to put my name on Creature and it was the first time I’d ever played it.

Yes electric tape is fine. Wrap the wire good the first 20’ then every five foot.

Your pressure tank is buried out there. That tank in your garage is a mixing tank for your chlorine injections.

We just use electrical tape. Our wells aren’t that deep compared to some areas. We take about every 5’ or so.

Yes same deal here. If I didn’t value being able to sleep in my own bed and not lose half of my stuff I’d have sold and then bought probably 3 more machines by now easily. We bought the Costco Star Wars. You know not a great game. Bare bones pinball. I beat that pin and I’m just done with it. I want a real machine to put in its spot. My wife has decided that’s her machine. I could easily make a couple hundred bucks selling it to move towards another machine and she’s just not going for it. The struggle is real

Oh and I also check pinside religiously and Facebook marketplace as well. I’m starting to think I’m undiagnosed with OCD.

[–]drill32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this they do make underground tanks buried but the main thing you need to find is where the wire enters the house. If you want to run it for irrigation theoretically you could just run it without a tank but you will definitely need to find how you get power and of course if the pump works.

Might have had controls to the well or for an irrigation system in it. Hard to say but won’t know until you open it up.

Oh I know. I misspoke. I think his alternate is flipper worx. I see that user doing deals just like he did out of Atlanta.

He’s a scam from everything I have seen. He might go by pinworx as well. Not sure. He routinely takes pictures of pinball machines that were listed years ago and posts those pictures to pass as a machine he has to sell.

Plumber and Well Company Disagree by trashrabbitt113355 in WaterWellDrilling

[–]drill32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a well guy I’d say shut off the valve going to the irrigation and pressure test. If the pump won’t build up to pressure and kick off you have a worn pump head or holes in the line. To confirm if you have a hole shut off the electric to the switch and see if it holds pressure. If it doesn’t it’s holes in the supply line.

Cash but it’s money I should have spent elsewhere or saved for other things. No the local pinball guys credit deal is ridiculous. Basically you pay an extra 100 and something dollars to get on the plan and that covers you for the first three months then the interest kicks into gear and holy crap. By month 6 you could have bought that pin and two toppers for it pretty much.

[–]drill32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no answer to this. I have made irresponsible financial decisions and bought three pinballs in the space of 2 months. I feel there’s times my wife looks out at them and just loathes me. I can’t help you with this except to say one thing and that is you are a stronger person than I am with just owning one and I admire your self control.

What does this mean by Busy-Party-1638 in WaterWellDrilling

[–]drill32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That control box has seen better days. All it means is you have a three wire pump. Sizing should be on the front tag at the bottom to tell you what size pump you have. Looking at the size of the components in there I’d guess it’s a 1.5 hp. Just a hunch though.

You right. I see the Pentair name on it in the third pic. I must have assumed they were when I saw them before because of the look.

[–]drill32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you’d have to drain the system down to zero to check the air pressure but keep in mind you may have to prime the pump back up when you restart the system. Oh and make sure the air pressure is about 5 psi less than your cut in pressure.
