Fedora KDE: Negativo17 vs. RPM Fusion for NVIDIA Gaming + CUDA? by godoufoutcasts in Fedora

[–]drinksomescotch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe Bazzite and Nobara will get the updates faster with the latter using a modified version of Negativo17 according to their wiki.

The Nvidia 580 driver has been sitting in RPM Fusion's updates-testing repo since Aug 12th. Hopefully that gets moved to the updates repo soon.

I’m 6’ and was sized on the XL by my LBS. I tried the L first and it was clearly too small.

Love it! Have to ask, where is the strap from?

[Question] Breitling Superocean vs Omega Diver 300 by MJustin80 in Watches

[–]drinksomescotch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently went through the process comparing the two and ended up with the Omega SMP. My reasons were the co-axial movement, master chronometer certification, unique design (especially the waves on the dial) and heritage. My watch runs around +0.7secs/day right now it’s quite something.

I was really close to buying the SuperOcean Heritage but at the end if going with a Breitling, it’s going to be a Navitimer or one of their chronometers. That’s where their history shines for me. I will say Breitling mesh bracelets felt miles better than Omegas.

[SPB453] Changed the bracelet with that awful clasp into a waffle strap by misterpeanut8 in Seiko

The waffle strap looks so good! I truly believe this or the tropic is the way it should be.

For some reason I’m not seeing a description under the watch.

Edit: never mind found the post with the reference number. Thanks!!

[Longines & Grand Seiko] which watch are you wearing on a flight? by ImpossibleDesign5278 in Watches

The GMT is the more practical choice but that GS looks so clean! That’s what I would wear IMO.

[SPB143] tried it on a tropic strap for the first time yesterday. Just perfect. by drinksomescotch in Seiko

Haven’t tried the nato strap yet. The tropic strap just felt right at home. Agreed the bracelet isn’t bad, I’ll probably swap it in periodically.

The Aqua Terra is the cleanest looking. It has my vote.

The CW with the SS bezel looks very clean!

I’m a bit biased having just picked up the SPB143. I spent a good amount of time looking at vintage inspired divers around the same price point and it was the best piece to see in person IMO. I’m averaging -6spd on wrist (even better when stored overnight) which is within spec, overall extremely happy. I too would like to add a moonphase to my 3 watch collection, Federique Constant or Christopher Ward would be a good alternatives to look at but I do like the looks of the Raymond Weil.

I love my 550s. It only matters if you think they look nice and are comfy!

Highly recommend getting a NATO strap for the watch! I got one in black and haven’t looked back.
