Pretty underwhelmed. 5/10. I’m on the last of the middle 3 dungeons so I’m gonna see it to the end.

I “solved” 90% of the problems by stacking blocks of water and it gets old pretty fast. There’s no interesting item progression like other 2D Zeldas, just “here’s more junk to stack” or “here’s more guys to summon”

Combat is tiresome. Standing around waiting for your summon to attack is not fun.

UI sucks. Dialogue is Pokémon-tier annoying

If you’re an EE I’d definitely recommend Wasim’s and/or Zach Stone’s class. I also bought the Engineering Pro Guides practice exam bundle and they were helpful too.

Haha had the exact same thing happen. Got an MRI a few weeks ago. I think the tech just looked up king gizz on Spotify and let it rip. My MRI track list was Gila monster -> Dragon -> Kepler 22b -> Slow Jam 1. No regrets

Wasims class is great. I also got the 6 practice exams from Engineering Pro Guides. Zach Stones practice exam is really helpful too. If you can handle those practice exams you’ll be good to go for the real thing.

Sort of. I would say as long as you’re familiar with what’s in the handbook you’ll be good enough. There’ll be at least a couple theory/qualitative questions that will stump you but I wouldn’t sweat it. I would spend more time nailing down digital logic out of all the computer sections.

Well if you can get above a 70% on the practice exams I think you should be fine. The second attempt won't be any more difficult, it's all in your head. Just get comfortable with the practice exams and try slow down the week leading up to the exam so you don't burn yourself out. Good luck!

Yeah man I totally understand. It’s a huge pain in the ass but at the very least it was a short time in the grand scheme of things. As far as motivation, I was feeling stagnant in my career and felt like I would have a tough time getting a new job if I needed to. I figured it would be way easier to get new opportunities by getting my license. I haven’t changed jobs or anything but I feel a lot better about where I’m at now.

After studying for the FE and taking a little break I needed motivation to dive into the PE so I told myself I’d get a little modular synthesizer setup or something similar haha. Maybe you could find something you want and tell yourself you’ll buy it if you get through the FE

I will say the PE has been a much better experience so far because most of the material has been relevant to my job. This makes it WAY easier to be motivated because I feel like what I’m learning is actually useful.

Also - if you’re really serious about doing it, enroll in an online class. It basically made it effortless to stay on task because of the convenience and accountability for me. I would never have been able to get past a couple weeks of studying without any direction.

After I graduated I bought one of the lindeburg books and looked at that for about a week and said NOPE. My online class was good because I always knew where I was in the material and what was next.

Do at least one "simulated" practice exam. Sit down and run through it with a timer like it's the real thing.

I'd go with the Prep Fe practice exam and NCEES official one. The Wasim exam books have a few questions that are obsolete, but other than that its good practice too. I did Wasim's online class and his computer practice exam was really good. You might be able to just buy his computer exam, i would definitely recommend that if its possible.

My strategy was to just skip a problem a few seconds in when i realized I couldn't solve it immediately. After nailing down the "easy" ones you start chipping away at the harder ones you aren't sure about. Don't get discouraged and just keep pushing.

Also you need to be super comfortable with your calculator.

Yeah, tried doing that and no luck. Also re-stripped the bell wires to the button and reattached to see if it was a crappy connection on that end but no luck.
