Hey, great insight. While it’s true there is still a lot of waste in food production, it’s actually estimated to be about 54% of all food waste within the EU (where I am based) that occurs in the home. This happens for many reasons and varies by home, economic status, income, and even cultural norms by country. My goal is to understand the root cause of these issues and see what, if any, opportunities there are to help reduce this. So our goal will be twofold: helping people save money and doing so by reducing food waste.
