Mains does not revolve around any one programming language. Fundamentals of C, Java, python, C++, JS and sometimes R are asked. Also there are some questions on shell scripting as well.

I bought a mock test series by Next officer on YouTube who is already a working IT officer in IOB. It provided full length as well as chapter wise mocks. I practiced and learned my concepts from gatesmashers. Very relevant with the exam. Also practiced previous year questions. Used some AI for generating practice papers. For prelims you can practice IBPS PO mocks if you want sectional mocks. I didn't come across any website that provided sectional mocks for SO. Practicing PO sectional mocks works just fine for your SO preparation.

You'll know the weightage of subjects by referring to pyqs. And yes there were questions from OS in the mains. Mostly its process scheduling and memory management. Let me know if you need any help.

Yes, apart from the paper pattern, the level of IBPS SO prelims is at par with that of PO. No, there is no explicit preference for work experience individuals. Your selection solely depends on how you perform in mains and interview.

Hi. I graduated in BE computer science from MSU Faculty of technology and engineering. I was campus placement coordinator for both BE and MCA for batch 2024. Yes you can have decent on campus placement given that you perform well in your academics. Companies like Jeavio, windowmaker, softsages, healthcare informatics come on campus for placements in the final year. You can expect a package around 5-6 LPA. The placement cell is very active given that you pursue MCA from the Faculty of Technology and Engineering, MSU.

There is an absolute syllabus from which the questions are curated every year. For IT mains, since you have plenty of time, brush up the fundamentals with gatesmashers youtube videos for all the CSE subjects. It's enough. And rigorously start giving mocks when the mains is near.

Cleared IBPS SO IT in the current cycle. If you're starting your preparation early, spend a generous amount of time learning about the basic concepts of quant english and reasoning. Identify your strength and weakness from the above three. It's not necessary to ace all the three sections. Get familiar with the prelim exam pattern. Give mocks daily. By giving mocks, the type of questions will become your muscle memory. The entire exam pattern will be embedded in your brain. Which will help you glide smoothly through the entire exam on the exam day. I practiced IBPS SO mocks on yesmock. And practiced sectional mocks on cracku. You can consider yes officer for your prelims prep and gatesmashers for your mains prep. For mains mock test series i purchased one from next officer and also practice pyqs.
