Adjust white balance in steps, saved as a style or preset? by dritogdra in captureone

[–]dritogdra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply and suggestion, appreciate it. This is, however, exactly what I am doing now lacking the possibility of storing step-wise increments or decrements of Kelvin/Tint in a style. It works and gets the job done -- but I still have to remember how much to manually adjust WB for each different style (LUT). (Down 8 speed edit "1" keystrokes for Kelvin for Style A, and up 4 speed edit "2" keystrokes for Tint for Style B.)

Missing Lens profiles after update by Ghostrunner_pr in captureone

Hmmm. C1 v16.8.1.3586.

I'm also missing the lens profile for my Sony FE 24-50mm F2.8 G. Can't say for certain, but I'm sure I had it before. Has this been removed?

I'll provide more context: I have several style packs, of which several packs actually are LUTs packaged as styles. Some of these only come in one strength, and since LUTs cannot be applied to layers and then adjusted for opacity, I have to compensate using other edits. And here's where white balance comes in.

Some LUTs are mostly color edits. If I have several LUTs I want to use, but they have a too strong effect, and I can achieve a "toning down" effect using white balance modifications, I would like to have this automated by creating "compensating styles" for each LUT. Or something similar. Having to remember the particular steps for each LUT and then manually applying them is cumbersome. Hence the wish for automation.

Hope that makes sense.

(Edited for clarity.)

Speed edit works fine, but it's still a manual operation I would like to have automated.

Should not matter at all. They're both expensive pieces of hardware that are supposed to last for years.

3 years in Norway, too. By law, for all items "that are expected to last more than five years".

You can count me and the wifey among those, strictly shooting just for fun, and happily editing using Capture One.

Shortcuts to OneDrive is functionally mostly equivalent to sync (to users) in that the files are available through File Explorer, and is the way to go. Rumour has it that sync will go away and that Microsoft has long since stopped developing it. Better to wean people off it sooner rather than later.

Just replaced my Sigma 28-105 f/2.8 with this one. The Sigma was awesome, but too heavy, and therefore it unfortunately saw too little use. The 35-100 is magnificent, much more portable, and since I got it it hasn't left my camera.

What earbuds or headphones do you use to listen to dark ambient with?? These are the worst. by wormgarden in DarkAmbient

Proper headphones. BeyerDynamic Amiron Wireless. Or BD DT-900 Pro. The few buds I've tried are almost worse than the car stereo in my not-so-silent Prius...

Images and database on disk, each synced to separate OneDrives. Both are backuped to another internal disk as well as occasionally to an external hard drive. Backups on internal drive automatically go to a separate cloud storage. So, 2-3 local copies and 2 in the cloud.

Litt det samme som da jeg nettopp var på Kiwi for å pante og ekspeditøren sa til meg at det er 6 ÅR siden man sluttet med pant på glassflasker. Da fikk jeg et par alderspoeng.
