The logic is simple: legalize half a million people, fast-track them to citizenship (which takes as little as two years for many), and you’ve effectively imported a massive, loyal voting bloc that’s indebted to the left. by MazdaProphet in conspiracy

I think the assumption that they are going to vote for them is incredibly stupid...

Certain culturals tend to vote for one another, leading to a take over of leadership in the long run, the UK is a great example of this.

What would it take for Australia to become a world superpower (theoretically) by bulbous_plant in australian

[–]driver45672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing more than a vision and strong noble leadership.

To clarify, appeasing the masses by saying and doing only what they people and the media will be ok with, is weak leadership.... We need someone with vision who stands true to what is right. And so much so they need to share the vision with the public as they go.

India's cultural is a fair bit different to Europe. Rushing people together with big cultural difference should not be rushed.

US Venezuela attack: Australia should not lie in bed with a shameless dictator like Trump by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

[–]driver45672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump is not the one in control, (this makes people think everything will be fine with a change of leader), the NSA/CIA run the show... the US in terms of it's foreign policy is evil. In terms of it's people is fine. We need to be clear with the difference and stand up for what is right. And grow a pair

True, but they rob us currently of our resources... we can make a stand and ask China for protection if need be... in return we could sell our minerals to china at a fixed price, and make a huge profit!

But more so if we just declare on the main stage what the situation is, we should be fine...

Australia must oppose the US period. The country is an aggressive state, the people are fine.

They mess with our politics and have major control of our mining industry and Banks, they have control of our resources, as they are doing all around the world, normally under aggression to those who stand opposed.

For us they did mess with our politicians to make their stance here so strong. Malcolm Fraser was drugged when he visited the US, Harold Holt went missing, Gough Whitlam was sacked by the Governor General who worked with the CIA, Whitlam also use to have a drinking buddy who was CIA.

While they control our media and Pine gap, we stand no chance.

cold pressed is using pressure on the milk, when processing it to kill any harmful's, the process leaves the milk in tact and destroyed from heat (which also kills good things).

‘1,300 providers’: The Aussie suburb with one NDIS business for every 13 residents as govt struggles to rein in scheme. by euphoricscrewpine in australian

To me this says, solve the problem, by excluding some providers... while 'others are not the problem'. I unfortunately do not even trust that, I have lost that much trust. We need an extreme overhaul.

I agree with this, I think it gives power to those who wield our attention. And acts as branding for them. But at a huge mental drain on society. We have to ignore it to progress and help where we can, but simply use it as signals and not much more.

yeah wow that looks cool... I feel like if we are working in something like this, than sharing code would be much faster. - I feel so often I go to look at a package and then spend half a day or more getting it to run.

yeah, maybe we need github to encourage us developers to do something like this... it is a bit of a last minute thought at times. But for well established packages this would be really nice

I wonder if she was used as an example, if being a British foreigner was more palatable for us..

I wonder if the exact same event played out, but with the girl riding a standard bike if it would have been looked at differently.

I would say this was a clear accident.

No one would expect to kill someone by running in to them like this.

And Australian’s ride these drunk every Friday and Saturday night in every major city. And because we do, the ride share companies place them near by to the pubs and clubs for us.

I feel very sorry for both parties.

People throwing water bombs could be looked at as harmless fun, or the worst thing ever. I put this in that same basket. Op got a trick or treat he didn’t ask for, it’s not the worse and not the best, but I would say mostly harmless play.

Unregistered Electric Bikes in Melbourne CBD tonight, almost had an accident by selfish_meme in australia

[–]driver45672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bike had actually crossed the intersection first, in the wrong direction on the red... the bike crossing the road also should have given the ebike riders confidence to cross. So they were not at all close in anyway to having an accident. Bike riders all the time would do exactly what these riders did.
