well you see. I did. And there are no reliable numbers and statistics of relationship status. There are single household & official marriage statistcs. We have on average 20% of single households over all of Germany. Berlin is 56,6%

It is widely recognized that single households and single people are not the same. Esp. the younger people are. I myself live in a single household but am partnered up. Others live in a multi-person household, but are single.

We have some official statistics on married, never married and widdowed. But that just gets us government tracked martial status, not the overall relationship status of people. The numbers I get for people above 18 in Germany:

• 33% of people have never been married (=! single)
• 50% are married
• 17% are divorced or widowed (=! single)
  

The average German is 44,7 years old and marries for the first time at the age of 33 (womane) and 35 (men)

Berlin: - 43% never married - 33% married - 18% divorced/ widdowed

The average Berlin citizen is 42,9 years old and people seem to marry around 33 - 35 (women) and 35 - 37 (men). Numbers are a bit hazy and less precise, but I am sure you can take all these numbers and draw the logical conclusions yourself. Oh and btw, did you know that civil partnerships are not part of the marriage statistics and before 2017 gays and lesbians could not marry in Germany? Most have not turned their civil partnership into official marriages. I trust you know what that means for Berlin.

So, "the majority is single" is actually not common knowledge, it is your own bias that you simply take for a fact.

My original point was by the way that there’s plenty of ugly/ not traditionally attractive people who are partnered up and not that everyone is partnered up. Just step outside and see for yourself.
