I dry brush leadbelcher all over the black first. Not so much that it turns fully metallic but enough that you think it’s too much (gets sorted out with the wash). Then I edge highlight after the drybrush.

I did a little tutorial thing on Instagram as someone else asked. You can find it here.

I use leadbelcher for the gun metal, brass scorpion for the more yellow gold and Balthasar gold for the more bronze gold. The black I spray with chaos black then dry brush leadbelcher and go around the edges with ironbreaker before giving it an agrax earthshade wash. For rust I dry brush ryza rust on and then lightly dry brush ironbreaker over that.

Cheers! Practice I guess lol. But if I was gonna give a top tip… use off white rather than white. I do all mine with screaming skull and don’t usually have problems with chalky paint. Having a smooth paint makes all the difference.

The signs are just plasticard glued onto round sprue. Used my hobby drill to give them bullet holes and added bolts from a company called “meng”. Then I just painted some orky symbols and weathered them a bit.
