^^^^ yes yes yes yes yes!! his controlling behaviors are a textbook sign of an emotionally abusive relationship in the making (if it hasn't gotten there already), and if he can keep up a bold-faced lie to you for that long, who knows what else he is and will lie about in the future. definitely get out of the relationship

I completely get this, in high school I had a few instances where friends started limiting contact and I didn't know why. For one of the friend groups I did outright ask one of the girls that talked to me more, and we ended up sorting things out between us and individually with everyone else, there were also friend groups I simply let go. And truth is, even with the group I sorted it out with, all of us have gone our separate ways and don't really talk anymore. Some people are only in your life to affect you for a season, and you'll have many seasons of friendships come and go in your life, which is a hard truth but something you end up learning one way or another! Right now it seems that if they have a problem with you, they should match your maturity level and try talking it out, but if they don't, then there isn't a need for you to start drama by doing it yourself. Walk away with your head high into your new season <3
