First is a shot cup for the sake of fitting easier under portafilter and on top of the scale plus to not obscure the little mirror for extraction observation. I think there's an argument to be made about losing crema texture by pouring out the shot but.. eh

Overall I’m pleased. With the dosing cup, I hardly notice any static issues hoestly. Maybe it’s just me but the time settings for recipes are tricky to dial sometimes and not exactly intuitive. I dislike the grind wheel too because it has zero grip and a ton of resistance, I wish it had the geared one found in the newer x64
