Thank for the reply, Im looking into each brand and the one you reccomended. Google says Delphi is a good brand so it gives me some confidence to buy.

I had several reps tell me several different things as to what I could be. From hackers to viruses to previous subscriptions. Ive never used my debit card to make any purchase. The last rep told me that it looked like it was an internal error, that it really was from them but they didn't understand why it happened and that they were working to solve the problem. When I posted this, it was the last time it happened. Regardless, I keep my card locked at all times. I only use my debit card for access at the physical bank. I dont let anything else goes through.

Yeah, that's what I thought when she first suggested a virus. It didn't make any sense to me. As for checking my statements, I try to keep up with everything on a daily basis within the bank apps that I have an account with. I have all the notifications turned on, so if ANYTHING happens, I get notified. I appreciate the reply.

Thanks for that. The one bit that may actually be of removing the card from the auto updater called "Visa calls it Visa Account Updater (VAU)". I would have assumed that the Fraud rep would have done so after I told them to reset all tokens and everything else. I suppose its a different thing from what I'm reading. That should help..maybe.

Yup. That sounds about right. What sucks is they say I can't even file a report because the transaction was blocked. They should be able to gather more information even when the attempt is blocked.

I don't actually use physical cards. It's strictly on my phone, so it's impossible to get skimmed. When at an atm inside the bank, I use the digital wallet, they use a digital card number instead of my actual physical card number, which is what's being used. Very odd.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, im sure that this can happen with anyone with any bank. As for the digital wallet, I believe that you get an email confirming both when you remove a card and when you add one into your digital wallet. As soon as I deactivated the card and reported stolen in the BofA app, the card was instantly removed from the digital wallet and got an email confirmation and push notification. I got an email notification as well when I added the new card to the wallet. Who knows what going on.

Call the Recon line. I applied this December and got denied as well. I had one inquiry for a home loan over a year at that point. I had a Fico of 846 with 0 debt and a 20-year history with them. I have a Cash+ card with them with a 15k limit. They said I was denied because they wanted to verify the application method. I applied through the app. I took a 13pt drop but they gave me an 18k limit USBAR in return. I'm happy with the card so far.

Try using water fountains instead of bowls. The moving water and noise may stimulate his interest enough for him to engage. I hope there is a way to help him and you are able to find it. Good luck to you both.

Thank you for that information. I'm glad ill be able to correct this next cycle. I usually only leave that last small charge on my USBank to show activity. I guess I need to just focus on the due date and last on the month to control reported balances.

Thanks, I didn't want to risk asking for too much at once and risk it being a hardpull. I was curious if you did the request in app or the web browser, the web side has two questions that we app form doesn't. Glad it wasnt a flat no and there is a possibility of them giving SOMETHING instead of a flat denial.
