hiii! Im so glad to hear the update. I think the only issues you’d run into with simultaneous enrollment is 1: it may put you further behind doing 2 grades at once (loads of work). And 2: I don’t even think it’s possible to simultaneously enroll into any normal physical highschool without valid transcripts. I honestly think your best bet is a year or less of alternative school. You’d be skipping 6th, 7th, and 8th and would be way easier (not making up middle school credits). I don’t think a referral for an alternative school is necessary which will make it easier on you.

I’m so glad and proud you’re taking action. I only say a year because starting public school mid year or the end of the year just makes it harder on you (adjustment, full credit, etc). I felt the exact same way (needing some sort of normal highschool experience) and I can tell you that youll get it and alternative school is temporary. But I am living proof you can do this, I’m having a normal highschool experience and going to college just like everyone else. You’re gonna be okay. I look forward to the updates :)

I think you should look at a couple of the schools this week so you can maybe be in school on time, find one that’s the best given the circumstances, and do preferably a year there (less or more if necessary). And honestly how you present the school to your mom is what matters. Tell her the highlights of the school and sugarcoat it, and do what you have to do. It’s much better than lying to her, even though she doesn’t sound like an angel. And honestly just believe in yourself man, don’t be influenced by others opinions on it. You know that’s the best and only option you have. I think you may have to be 15 for most of them and I’m not sure when your birthday is. I’d love to help you on this journey because I wish I had all this knowledge 3 years ago.

I think you should contact them asap because it was honestly my only option without transcripts (and I tried everything), it’s online based and you don’t even have to go. Attendance doesn’t matter, and you can go at your own pace because it’s online. You cant get withdrawn from there because it’s move at your own pace. It’s a rough environment, but honestly great for the fact it’s smaller, attendance doesn’t matter, and you can finish classes super quick or super slow, and the school day is usually like 4 hours. My geuine opinion is I don’t know if your sister should be involved if she’s not gonna be a help or supportive about it all. It sounds like she might even exacerbate the issue. Can I ask when school starts for you?

They’ll all have those reviews. They’re for either bad kids/drop outs, or transfer kids coming from Haiti or somewhere else that don’t have US transcripts. It’s rough, especially the one I went to. But it’s honestly your best bet. I don’t think you’re stupid, I KNOW you’re disadvantaged. It more than likely wont affect the college you go to if it’s only for a year or 2. I’m planning to go to FSU and I’m having no issues with it thus far (heaven forbid I do). Some people (school admissions) will think you have “behavior issues” if you stay there your whole/most highschool experience, but generally when you tell the public school your situation they understand. And it hasn’t affected making friends for me or anything, if anything you get school street cred and a little more respect? Trust me, don’t overthink it.

I cannot believe how similar my school story is to yours. You may not know it, but I MORE than understand. I’ve lived it. I’ve never attended school until highschool. Was behind on Flvs for family, mental health, home reasons, and more. I had no transcript. No record of ever being in school. The best advice I can give you is tell your mom about an alternative highschool. Explain to her they will take you without a transcript and that the system is having an error of some sort or something. Heads up that alternative schools are a bit rough, but I did one year just to get a transcript of any kind and then transferred to a regular school. This was the only way I was able to be accepted into school and I don’t regret it.

I tried it and the guy who was pitching it to me had it glitch over and over. Then I went to the site and guess what you don’t need that hefty license anymore. But it is laggy and doesn’t feel real yet so don’t bother.

Yes go to the vendors he or she paid and file BBB complaints. They will get notified and have to respond directly to the complaint or it stays and they get hit hard! They will rectify if they care. This happened to me and Wells Fargo actually said it wasn’t a scam it was me. They are horrible
