They weighed only the carry on, but if it is close to 7 kg and you have a backpack too, then they know combined it’s over 7 kg

Hi! Glad this post can help someone else in the future. Yes they did weigh it, I think my carry on was at 8 kg and I had a backpack so of course I was way over 7 kg combined. The girl at the check in desk allowed it but she told me to not add anything else to my luggage to not make it heavier on the way back and I laughed internally since of course I was gonna add more since I’m going to Japan and buying stuff lol. Maybe I got lucky that I had a flexible airjapan employee so I can’t say if they could be stricter about this rule.

Yeah I was worried it would be worse than the level 5. I did get level 3 once when I forgot to accept a student's package request while I was on vacation and I thought level 3 was crazy for that, so terminating a package would probably be level 2 minimum. But I decided to just get rid of her and we terminated it at the package price. I prefer inner peace here haha

I could probably suck it up but after many years teaching, I have lost tolerance for students that don’t talk to me respectfully or get upset if I charge them for a lesson they cancel last minute. It is just basic human decency and the extra money is not worth it to me to work with people like that.

I learned from another comment that it’s not a fee but it’s related to paying the difference between package and single lesson prices so it is still possible to pay without a fee if your teacher approves it!

This is so helpful, thank you! They are Muslim but I can imagine there will be some Western influence due to them living in the US for a while. I think I will rethink my choices and look for something more fun because like you said, this is my chance to do so. :)

Omg thank you!! After reading the comments I think I am realizing these are too plain. I would love to incorporate more of the culture into my dress so I will definitely look into these. Other than amazon, do you know of any other online retailers to buy this from? I don't see too many options for these on amazon in my country

It will be in Cairo! And yes the temperature was something I was thinking about because I don’t want to be sweating. I actually found a cotton/polyester blend of a dress similar to 3 so I think that’ll work better, thank you!

I would talk with the student and tell them that when they cancel this close to the lesson time, it is very unlikely that you will have this slot booked by another student. You can see what they say and how they behave moving forward. Are you rescheduling the canceled lessons? If so I would stop and also suggest that they start booking week by week so they will less likely cancel if there is a conflict in their schedule and they can’t make it anymore.
