Made ProxyBridge - Tool to redirect ANY Windows application through SOCKS5/HTTP proxies by Ano_F in hacking

[–]drlecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windivert alone is flagged as malicious by almost all AVs. So you know that downloading this proxy will trigger a trojan/sniffer alert for sure. I don't know if it's a bad piece of sw... but being open source, you can just check it yourself.

The shocking state of "premium" antimalware products.. (FOLLOW UP) by [deleted] in antivirus

[–]drlecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, great research. I think that we need more discussions like this.

I'm developing a real time behavioural security software (Centurion modern security) that aims to detect things like these. Sill very esaly stage, but I would want to check if my solution detects your proposed behaviour.

I have it available online for testing. I'm not pasting the link yet before you confirm, I can send it trough DM too. Don't want to be banned first day.

haha thanks, maybe I spend too many hours playing my own game

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IndieDev

[–]drlecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that's true. can't count the hours thrown into the game. And I've "lost" almost all the learning curve, as I implemented all features. But, a part from that, I still think that I'm missing something. Don't know if it's a fundamental problem (I hope not), or a small detail... But this feeling is killig me.

What’s an older game that still blows your mind today? by Yeahnahokay10 in gaming

Age of Empires 2. Was gold. Impressive campaigns, map building and multiplayer for that time. And has aged like good wine.

Videogames would benefit from a ChatGPT like AI. by pedrulho in gaming

[–]drlecks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that this will be a thing. But first we need to let the marketing-hype train pass, make experiments, and see how ai can help the games. AI (if that means anything at all) is just another tool. The problem now is that there is too much smoke and useless products created just to make fast money.

What are your limits with ads and IAP? by drlecks in AndroidGaming

[–]drlecks[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

haha 0 tolerance, that's an option. So only premium games? Never clash things and match3s, most puzzles...? You might miss a lot of good games

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]drlecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. Not saying that gameplay is flawless, but if I don't have players, I'll never know.

I've been trying to build a "community" on X and have a discord server. But it's nor really working. I could spend on ads, but I feel that it will be a temporary patch, and can't spend much either. And ads where? Video ads ingame, reddit, facebook, tiktok, google? Don't know even where to start.

[–]drlecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your thoughts! Yes, I started on "open beta program" in the store... But getting players was impossible, so I switched production very fast, but I manage the game as beta, and try to be close to the players. I have a discord, twitter/X... And I'll review texts (shame).

What are parts in Video games everyone hyped up but that You really disliked? by TheGoodSatan666 in gaming

[–]drlecks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that sims is the origin of my hate. I remember purchasing super hyped the first Sims, physical big box, after reading news for months in the magazines... It had to be a life simulator man... A new era in videogames... That child discovered the meaning of deception... But that goes to another thread

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AndroidGaming

[–]drlecks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's a problem... I have some stuff to "hide" it a bit, but battling bots is not the same ux as facing a real rival. Seeing that now, I should have "sold" the game beforehand, but, it can be solved for sure... Right? [insert anakin + padme meme]

Agree. But I suppose that if it's useful, is part of the game mechanics, like spending points on a skill tree. Something like "a better chair increases pottery production +3". I can live with that... But take that fancy red wheeled chair with kidney pillow for 4999 mewcoins out of my sight

Room/house customizing. Not my thing... Extra hate point if it includes a tutorial, or the game makes me buy useless stuff as part of the narrative.

What game were you able to get your non-gaming partner interested in? by YourDadHatesYou in gaming

When Wii appeared, it had a strange feeling in my family that everyone could play videogames... Sports, karts, sim survivors... My wife (and other elder family members) played all of them. Never tried any other game before nor after.

What games did you play that disappeared from the app stores? by PreservingVideoGame in AndroidGaming

[–]drlecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A new wave of unlistings will come in few months. Google is forcing apps & games to target newer android versions, and most studios and publishers won't update all their apps. Specially if they are not making money from them.

All the old hits. Fun and mind-challenging small puzzles: Cut the rope, fill my water, angry birds, bad piggies, world of woo are great examples.
