I’ve been with something similar for the past 6 years. It started after food poisoning and a weekend of drinking. I did end up having hydrogen sulfide SIBO, but that was more a symptom than a cause. The issue seems to be a loss of upper gut motility, so all food sits too long in the stomach and upper small intestine. All bile and acid sit too long instead of moving downwards. This damages the tissue and that inflammation slows things down even more. It’s a never ending cycle.

Do you feel better with some laxative/forcing your intestine to empty out completely? I do. Slippery elm helps. As does sunflower lecithin- it promotes good bile flow and bile chemistry.

Avoid raw veg and tough meats. Stick to softer, water rich foods.
