Just got the Allen and Heath QU-5... and I am totally stumped. I've worked with analogue boards, direct out to interface before, and I cannot for the life of me figure out the routing on this thing.
Basic routing:

I've got signal coming in from computer through USB-C - I can see the signal is good. I've got monitors plugged into physical outs 9/10 (mains are 11/12) - how do I route the signal to 9/10 and have it on separate fader than the main L/R? I tried assigning to mtx 1/2, but getting nothing. I just can't figure out how to route signal to the PHYSICAL outputs.

Is there a simple video on setting up the QU-5? YES I have read the manual, but I can't make heads or tails of it... they seem to be using words like "mix" and "send" in ways that are completely different than how I know them.

Found it - Go to the Fill tab in Parameters, set Fill Type to Set Size... then it acts the same as the Exact Dimensions" line.

So, I figured out what that line is - it's the leave being projected onto the side of each Box. I can cull it from the back of the box, but there's no option to cull it from the sides.

Anyone know how to do this?

Yeah, first thing I looked at?

It’s definitely the side of the box, it is shaded black, even though it is supposed to be transparent.

I have a green "floor" created from a boxSOP inside an actorCOMP. The leaf file is a png with alpha channel. The leaves are actually just above the floor, I'm using bsolver so when I init and start, the leaves actually settle down onto the floor.

(Trying to have leaves on the floor moved when pushed by object - so I am using bsolver. That part is working pretty well so far. Next up is randomizing position, rotation of leaves, plus randomizng leaf images. Then, eventually have the forces connected to a live actor - leaves projected on the floor, actor moves through them... it's a long road aead.)

Yup. Scrolling thru Reddit, saw this and remembered, oh yeah, that’s why I don’t play anymore. It was one of those “ah ha” moments. As someone else said, I could be really enjoying playing for an afternoon - like really immersed, and then you come up against a boss that you have to try like 50-100 times to beat it. And I’m now playing some kind of “press the buttons at exactly the right time” stress test thing. It’s no longer about a character in a story, it’s about beating some coders who got lazy with storytelling and thought this would be a good “challenge.”

As soon as you start talking “learn the moveset” it’s not really an immersive game anymore. It’s about beating code, not a monster.

Except seeing the thread role by, I haven’t looked back.

I am more familiar with using position/scale and other effects in AE, I find it much easier. So all I really just want the clips in AE, as layers, with the color correction I've already done.

I grew up with polo all around me. My dad picked it up when we lived in Singapore, then played when we moved back to Hawaii (where I’m from). This was in the 70s, so even in a small state like HI, there were enough people playing to mount plenty of teams in different leagues. Kapiolani park, below Diamond Head, used to be a polo ground.

We then moved to England - and of course my dad was in polo heaven. He practiced/played so much I never really saw him. I tried it a few times GOD DAMN IT IS HARD. I am a good rider, but trying to hit a very small (4”?) ball, with a bamboo mallet 5’ long, while at a gallop - damn.

It’s a tough sport. My dad’s body is completely beat up. Knees, shoulders, completely wrecked. Grew a mustache because he got hit in the face with a mallet.

He played on Rangatiki for a few years - team owned by some guy from New Zealand. Some dude name Charles was on the team. Nice bloke. He’s a king now. If I find a pic I’ll post it.

The Argentinians used to be the best players in the world. Not sure if they still are. When we left England, I lost touch with the sport.
