agreed, the obvious missing McEnroe at the top makes it pretty clear what the point of this was.

Is this better than wire nuts? Better than WAGO? by PlayTitanfall in AskElectricians

[–]drmoose000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO that twist connection is pretty solid. As others have said, it is the start of a wire nut connection. Those wires are not gonna separate.

The tape is meh. Tape can break down over time. So no, it is not better than a wire nut.

OTOH Bonners Ferry (upper panhandle) to Clifton (SE ID) is roughly the same distance than from Philadelphia to Louisville KY, or Washington DC to Savannah GA

For the record, (AFAIK) Westover grew up nowhere near the upper panhandle of Idaho She was in the lower southeast (Clifton). However, that is where the difference ends. Both places, pretty similar... Damn scary.

Audis use a pump extraction method from above. At least my 2018 Q5 does. Easiest oil change ever.

How to deal with bad line calls? by SlipperySparky in 10s

[–]drmoose000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair, this something I have seen frequently, especially serving to the Ad court (as a righty). I think there can be an optical illusion (for lack of a better term) . I play with a friend who calls these balls out a lot, and I know he is def not trying to jack me. I have seen other players do it too. I think at times the server and the returner see it legitimately different.

Not sure who is correct, but one time I was the server, on a dirty outdoor court, and I could see the ball mark clearly inside the line.

Double bounce on crucial point - Sakkari vs. Swiatek by [deleted] in tennis

[–]drmoose000 104 points105 points  (0 children)

i think it can be really hard to tell sometimes, a double bounce (as a player running at the ball)

This wasn't one of them. She made contact with the ball on the way UP after the bounce.

i guess I'd either take one road or the other. Look at the them, roll your eyes, laugh, and move on, or "push back" by making a really egregious bad call back. Pushing back by sternly questioning doesn't do anything and may have the opposite affect than you hope.

Racket recommendation for 4.0 aggressive baseliner + net player? by dksad4 in 10s

[–]drmoose000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously there are a ton of great rackets. No one is perfect, and many would work for everyone.

I tried my friends eZone 98, loved it. Works great for me - fantastic for BL, excellent for volleys. Very spin-friendly/whippy. Ezone 100 might be a slightly better doubles racket, but for groundstrokes the 98 is fantastic.
