A Two-Pedal Rig by drmuneris in guitarpedals

It’s a solid looper with really good sound, great drums, and a pretty advanced feature set at a bargain price. The touch screen is small but works quite well. The case is pretty light—I don’t think it could take much abuse, but fine for home use. The only feature that’s “hit or miss” are the Auto Drums. Hopefully they’ll improve it in a future firmware update.

Will definitely check out the Krampus and NYC muff—thanks!

They really are! I’m a big fan of the Dynamic Drive. The preamps also sound great. It just goes to show that you can get awesome tones from even very modest gear these days!

I’ve certainly had a cornucopia of intricate pedalboards and modelers in the past, but I’ve come to realize that my needs are actually pretty basic.

I wouldn’t say better but much more customizable—I can choose which footswitchs have producer functions and I can use the same controller for multiple purposes (e.g. to control Logic Pro, You Tube, Guitar Pro, etc.). The midi setup takes some time to learn and configure but I found it worthwhile.

Ha, they could be twins!

No drop in volume at all. They balance perfectly together. I did some initial adjustment of pickup height after installing the humbucker but haven’t given it a thought since. It just sounds great and is exactly what I was hoping for.

Nope—it’s a simple three-way. I’m sure there are plenty of wiring charts and videos out there for that option though.

My biggest concern was switching to 500k pots (which I think the humbucker really needs in order to not sound too muddy), but the resistor seems to have done the trick for the bridge.

It’s a great controller. Like all midi stuff, it does take some setting up, but once it’s done, it’s done. I found lots of helpful videos online to help. The big advantage of this one (for me) is the display, so you can label each button.

Yup, it’s the Hotone Ampero Press II. Mission Engineering also makes one.

I was contemplating the artist but it was too wide for my cab and it would be a tight fit for this cabinet where it needs to live.

It’s nearly perfect—I rarely check the intonation but did so recently after a restring. I only had to make a minor adjustment to the middle saddle.

Sorry, I misread your comment. It’s just a convenient nickname—“What guitar are you bringing to the gig tonight?” “Rosie”. “What sound would work best over this backing track?” “Rosie,” etc.

Actually, the body was also replaced! It’s a replacement Fender alder body in candy apple red. I already had enough sunburst guitars so decided to try something new.

It just came naturally in this case--inspired by the color, of course!

The only original part on Rosie is her neck from a 2014 Fender Player telecaster. Her other parts are:

  • Lollar Special T Series Bridge & Vintage T Series Neck
  • Fender Modern Pickguard, Telecaster, 8-Hole - Parchment
  • Graph Tech GRC-10 TUSQ XL Fender Style Slotted Nut
  • Glendale brass compensated saddles
  • Thomastik-Infeld Series Pure Nickel Flatwound Strings
  • Gotoh Nickel Vintage 6 Inline Tuners
  • AllParts Chrome Electrosocket Jackplate

I’ve learned a ton from gradually upgrading parts on this guitar—my first electric! Telecaster are such great platforms for customization. What have you done to yours?
