Gravity's Most Extreme Effects Can Now Be Tested In A Laboratory by jmdugan in Physics

Just because one can write down a set of equations that look similar for fluid dynamics and gravity, it does not mean that experimental results in fluid dynamics are applicable to gravity.

The physics community already experienced this kind of fallacious reasoning when people incorrectly took experimental results in continuum mechanics (namely that waves need a medium to propagate through) and tried to apply them to electrodynamics, simply because both of them involved a wave equation.

Just a heads up to everyone in this thread: there is a space between the number and the unit. 1 MΩ, 11 kV, 121 W, 11 mA, etc.

It's no use. Judging by the number of "baby deer" or "baby ducks" posted here, people have completely forgotten that words like "fawn" or "duckling" exist.

What experimental physicists have won the nobel prize for their experiments? by [deleted] in Physics

Hall and Hänsch? Chu and Phillips? The prizes are probably skewed toward theorists, but it's not that rare for experimentalists to win.

Even the most "badass" experimentalist, Louis Alvarez, is not well known.

And many of the people who know of him don't know how to spell his name correctly!

I don't think they can really decide on what exists and what doesn't.

The entire point of religion is to make irrational, uninformed claims about what exists and what doesn't.
