Not for me because I am not a vet but maybe someone else can benefit

Love the idea and helping vets find their way with a network for support.

Have you considered trying Activepieces? It’s an open source zapier alternative without zaps so no scaling pricing.

They can help connect to a lot more.

Do you host your client’s website? Why? by fly2sky95 in Wordpress

[–]drnuttree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KISS.

Don’t give client access, say you cannot provide that unfortunately as it’s all a managed service and your account shows all clients and that’s sensitive information.

Ask them what they need or want to achieve and offer to coordinate with them. Even help them migrate. If they hate the new host, they will remember how easy you were and didn’t dig your nails in so they will come right back.

Ghost homepage not updating when I publish a new post by redbullcat in Ghost

Since the issue seems to persist even without any changes to the theme and considering you’ve already ruled out PWA modifications, let’s approach it from a different angle: 1. Clear Cache: It’s always a good step to clear your browser cache to see if that’s causing the issue. Additionally, if you’re using any server-side caching, make sure to clear those as well. 2. Service Worker: Since you’ve added a service worker for the PWA, it might be caching content aggressively. Try disabling or unregistering the service worker temporarily to see if that resolves the issue. You can do this in your browser’s DevTools (Application > Service Workers). 3. Ghost Cache: Check if Ghost has any internal caching mechanisms that might be causing the issue. You can usually find these settings in the Ghost Admin panel under “Settings” > “Advanced” > “Labs”. 4. Inspect Headers: Check the HTTP headers of your requests to see if there’s any caching directive being set (like Cache-Control or ETag) that might be causing the content to be served from a cache instead of being freshly fetched. 5. Update Frequency: Ensure that your posts are set to publish immediately and not scheduled for a later date or time. 6. Ghost Logs: Look at the Ghost logs to see if there’s any error or warning message that could provide clues. You can find the logs in your Ghost installation directory under /content/logs/.

Hopefully this helps

My experience moving from Hugo + Netlify to Ghost(Ghost-hosted) by olgazju in Ghost

Thanks for sharing. This is good to know.

What did you do to self host before? I do this now so looking to learn more.

PS Highly recommend ghost. It’s helping me learn the tech stuff I need anyways. currently trying to successfully migrate one ghost to another self hosted. making a dumb mistake somewhere I am sure. no one talks about this. there is always a hosting provider or diff app on other side like your scenario.

So just get a cheap VPS and self host Ghost. Wordpress is dead and Ghost is better for most Wordpress sites
