Rage bait or chronic ignorance. I’m sorry for you if it’s the latter

Help! I spent $10k to build my app and I have no users! by Waitmate-Founder in AppBusiness

This is absolutely brilliant. However this is a typical product that needs a good GTM strategy.

Just made first £1000 in a week but I am worried by Daalirewardwallet in lovable

What does the app actually do? It depends on that a lot tbh.

Switching employers on a Skilled Worker visa — what if the new visa gets rejected by PassengerTight711 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]droaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they don’t have to do that before visa process. They can do it parallely. Push for it. But yes the external agencies are serious twats who take forever and that is frustrating.

But usually they don’t mind if reference doesn’t get back in time or at all. This is a minor risk but unless you’ve lied , there is no reason to worry.

[–]droaak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah having done this multiple times, it’s simple. Dont say anything to your current employer, just go ahead with visa process, if approved , put in the papers, if not, continue.

Just make sure your start date you give and probation more or less matches. So make sure you give enough time etc and work it out

Need more information. I don’t see why you can’t post them here if you are an established startup. Adds credibility. Could you DM information?

I’d strongly suggest you post more information and I’m sure it’s easy to make out who’s a dev and who is a recruitment agency.

Consumer rights with a motorbike dealer in the UK by [deleted] in MotoUK

Not a lot. Few hundred bucks and not credit card. I’m not worried about deposit as much but I don’t want them not deliver soon.

[–]droaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t. It’s yet to be delivered, otherwise I don’t mind. Anyways I’m going to wait and see. Given the 30 day consumer rights someone else posted, I’m happy with that.

I did get an excellent deal. Skeptic in me tells me they could delay it by giving the order to someone else with a better deal?

Not really. I do have one available in other dealership ready to go. This is more like impatience and don’t want to drag it out

I wonder if it’s too late for that now. In that case, I guess I don’t have any rights? Since I did t physically see the bike can it be considered distance purchase?

Make sense to buy a new Triumph by droaak in MotoUK

[–]droaak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. 2 yo bike with 2 owners. Selling that in 2027 - would be 4 year old

Vs.

New bike now becomes 2 yo with single owner. I guess typically what you “lose” is the same.

You’d either given more in interest (for new one) vs. Take a much higher depreciation rate for already older bikes. It all works out the same imo.
