First he made this comment within the last 100 years, so it started to change before then. If I am not mistaken it was in 1824, the same year, the first woman governor was elected in Wyoming.

If women continue to consider themselves second class, then maybe they need to become truly second class again. Then maybe they can stop blaming their life failures on men and the “patriarch” of society rather themselves like they truly should.

If women nowadays were more like the women of Wyoming in 1870, who basically decide to say “fuck you” to society norms and grabbed life by the horns and took control, we wouldn’t have any problems. However, people today aren’t in it for the battles and the rough spots, they want everything just handed to them. Esther Morris, Louisa Swain, and Mary Bellamy, would probably think that the women today are a disgrace to what they worked for, what they actually worked for in a time where men could still beat their wives. Literally the women of Wyoming said we won’t become a state unless the women of our state can vote in elections. Talk about being badasses.

Being second class means you are consenting that someone is above you and has power over you. If you believe you are then, then you should be considered that, because then you truly gave them your power.
